1
أَوَّلُ سُورَةٍ أُنْزِلَتْ اقْرَأْ بِاسْمِ رَبِّكَ الَّذِي خَلَقَ
The first surah revealed: "Read in the name of your Lord who created"
2 وَجْهُ اقْتِرَانِ سُورَةِ الْأَنْفَالِ بِالْبَرَاءَةِThe reason Surah al-Anfal is joined to Surah Bara'ah
3 شَأْنُ نُزُولِ سُورَةِ الْأَنْفَالِThe occasion of revelation of Surah al-Anfal
4 أُنْزِلَ الْقُرْآنُ جُمْلَةً وَاحِدَةً فِي لَيْلَةِ الْقَدْرِ إِلَى السَّمَاءِ الدُّنْيَاThe Quran was sent down all at once on Laylat al-Qadr to the lowest heaven
5 الْجِدَالُ فِي الْقُرْآنِ كُفْرٌDisputing about the Quran is disbelief
6 أُنْزِلَ الْقُرْآنُ عَلَى ثَلَاثَةِ أَحْرُفٍThe Quran was revealed in three modes (ahruf)
7 إِنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ - صَلَى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ - يَأْمُرُكُمْ أَنْ يَقْرَأَ كُلُّ رَجُلٍ مِنْكُمْ كَمَا عَلِمَThe Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) commands you that each of you recite as he was taught
8 مُسَامَرَةُ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ - صَلَى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ - عِنْدَ أَبِي بَكْرٍ أَمورَ الْمُسْلِمِينَThe night conversation of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) with Abu Bakr (may Allah be pleased with him) about the affairs of the Muslims
9 مَنْ سَرَّهُ أَنْ يَقْرَأَ الْقُرْآنَ غَضًّا كَمَا أُنْزِلَ ، فَلْيَقْرَأْهُ عَلَى ابْنِ أُمِّ عَبْدٍWhoever would like to recite the Quran fresh as it was revealed, let him recite it according to Ibn Umm Abd
10 شَأْنُ نُزُولِ سُورَةِ الصَّفِّ وَإِسْنَادِهَا مُسَلْسَلًاThe occasion of revelation of Surah al-Saff and its musalsal chain
11 فَضِيلَةُ الشَّامِThe virtue of al-Sham
12 قِرَاءَةُ ابْنِ مَسْعُودٍ آخِرُ الْقِرَاءَاتِThe recitation of Ibn Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) was the last of the recitations
13 الْقِرَاءَاتِThe modes of recitation
14 كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ - صَلَى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ - يُقَطِّعُ قِرَاءَتَهُ آيَةً آيَةًThe Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) would recite verse by verse
15 آمِينَ بِخَفْضِ الصَّوْتِSaying amin in a low voice
16 مَشْيُهُ صَلَى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَمُدَارَاتُهُ لِلْأَضْيَافِThe gait of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) and his kindness to guests
17 شَأْنُ نُزُولِ آيَةِ ( يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا إِذَا ضَرَبْتُمْ فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ فَتَبَيَّنُوا ) الْآيَةَThe occasion of revelation of the verse "O you who believe, when you go forth in the way of Allah, investigate"
18 تَوَاضُعُهُ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَThe humility of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him)
19 مُكْثُ النَّبِيِّ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ - بِمَكَّةَ ثَلَاثَ عَشْرَةَ سِنِينَ نَبِيًّاThe Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) stayed in Makkah as a prophet for thirteen years
20 أَوَّلُ آيَةٍ نَزَلَتْ فِي الْقِتَالِThe first verse revealed about fighting
21 زِيَارَةُ قُبُورِ الشُّهَدَاءِ وَرَدُّ السَّلَامِ مِنْهُمْ إِلَى يَوْمِ الْقِيَامَةِVisiting the graves of the martyrs, and their returning of greetings until the Day of Resurrection
22 شَأْنُ نُزُولِ ( يَا أَيُّهَا الْمُدَّثِّرُ )The occasion of revelation of Surah al-Muddaththir
23 الَّذِينَ لَمْ يَشَأِ اللهُ أَنْ يَصْعَقَهُمْ هُمْ شُهَدَاءُ اللهِThose whom Allah does not will to strike down unconscious are the martyrs of Allah
24 مَا أَحْسَنَ مُحْسِنٌ مِنْ مُسْلِمٍ وَلَا كَافِرٍ إِلَّا أَثَابَهُ اللَّهُNo doer of good, Muslim or disbeliever, does good but that Allah rewards him
25 الدُّعَاءُ عِنْدَ رُكُوبِ الدَّابَةِSupplication when mounting a riding animal
26 تَفْسِيرُ سُورَةِ الْفَاتِحَةِTafsir of Surah al-Fatihah
27 ذِكْرُ فَضِيلَةِ سُورَةِ الْفَاتِحَةِ مَا أُنْزِلَتْ مِثْلُهَا فِي الْكُتُبِ الْمُتَقَدِّمَةِThe virtue of Surah al-Fatihah: nothing like it was revealed in the earlier scriptures
28 شَرْحُ ( الصِّرَاطِ الْمُسْتَقِيمِ )Explanation of "the straight path"
29 مِنْ سُورَةِ الْبَقَرَةِFrom Surah al-Baqarah
30 سَيِّدَةُ آيِ الْقُرْآنِ آيَةُ الْكُرْسِيِّThe chief of the verses of the Quran is Ayat al-Kursi
31 خَلَقَ اللَّهُ آدَمَ مِنْ أَدِيمِ الْأَرْضِ كُلِّهَا فَخَرَجَتْ ذُرِّيَّتُهُ عَلَى حَسْبِ ذَلِكَAllah created Adam (peace be upon him) from soil taken from all over the earth, so his descendants came out accordingly
32 كَانَتِ الرُّسُلُ ثَلَاثَمِائَةٍ وَخَمْسَ عَشْرَةَThe messengers were three hundred and fifteen
33 ذِكْرُ وُزَرَائِهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ مِنَ الْأَرْضِ وَمِنَ السَّمَاءِThe viziers of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) from the earth and from the heaven
34 قِصَّةُ الزُّهَرَةِ وَكَوْنُهَا كَوْكَبًاThe story of al-Zuhrah and her becoming a star
35 كَانَتِ الزُّهَرَةُ امْرَأَةًAl-Zuhrah was a woman
36 صَلِّ حَيْثُ مَا تَوَجَّهَتْ بِكَ رَاحِلَتُكَ فِي التَّطَوُّعِPray voluntary prayer in whichever direction your mount faces
37 الطَّوَافُ بِالْبَيْتِ بِمَنْزِلَةِ الصَّلَاةِCircumambulating the House is like prayer
38 الصَّلَاةُ مِنَ الْإِيمَانِPrayer is part of faith
39 حِكَايَةُ وَفَاةِ ابْنِ عَوْفٍ وَرُجُوعِ رُوحِهِ بَعْدَمَا نُزِعَتْThe account of the death of Ibn Awf and the return of his soul after it had been taken
40 الصَّفَا وَالْمَرْوَةُ كَانَتَا مِنْ مَشَاعِرِ الْجَاهِلِيَّةِ أَيْضًاAl-Safa and al-Marwah were also among the sacred sites of the pre-Islamic era
41 الطَّوَافُ بَيْنَ الصَّفَا وَالْمَرْوَةِ مِنْ سُنَّةِ أُمِّ إِسْمَاعِيلَ عَلَيْهِمَا السَّلَامُGoing between al-Safa and al-Marwah is the practice of Hajar (peace be upon her)
42 شَرْحُ مَعْنَى ( الْبَأْسَاءِ وَالضَّرَّاءِ )Explanation of the meaning of "al-ba'sa' wa al-darra'" (poverty and hardship)
43 خُطْبَةُ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ بِالْبَصْرَةِThe sermon of Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with him) in Basrah
44 الْحَدِيثُ الْمُوَضِّحُ لِأَحْكَامِ الصِّيَامِ مُفَصَّلًاThe hadith explaining the rulings of fasting in detail
45 شَرْحُ مَعْنَى ( هُنَّ لِبَاسٌ لَكُمْ وَأَنْتُمْ لِبَاسٌ لَهُنَّ )Explanation of the meaning of the verse "They are a garment for you and you are a garment for them"
46 شَرْحُ مَعْنَى ( وَلَا تُلْقُوا بِأَيْدِيكُمْ ) الْآيَةَExplanation of the meaning of the verse "And do not throw yourselves with your own hands into destruction"
47 ( الْحَجُّ أَشْهُرٌ مَعْلُومَاتٌ ) شَوَّالُ وَذُو الْقَعْدَةِ وَعَشْرٌ مِنْ ذِي الْحِجَّةِHajj is in known months: Shawwal, Dhu al-Qa'dah and the first ten days of Dhu al-Hijjah
48 إِنَّمَا الرَّفَثُ مَا رُوجِعَ بِهِ النِّسَاءُRafath is only intimate talk with women
49 الْمَشْعَرُ الْحَرَامُ الْمُزْدَلِفَةُ كُلُّهَاAl-Mash'ar al-Haram is the whole of Muzdalifah
50 هَدْيُنَا مُخَالِفٌ لِهَدْيِهِمْOur way is contrary to their way
51 قِصَّةُ نُزُولِ تَحْرِيمِ الْخَمْرِThe story of the revelation of the prohibition of wine
52 الرُّخْصَةُ فِي الْعَزْلِThe permission for coitus interruptus ('azl)
53 شَأْنُ نُزُولِ آيَةِ ( الطَّلَاقُ مَرَّتَانِ )The occasion of revelation of the verse "Divorce is twice"
54 تَفْسِيرُ آيَةِ: وَحَمْلُهُ وَفِصَالُهُ ثَلَاثُونَ شَهْرًاTafsir of the verse "His bearing and weaning are thirty months"
55 شَأْنُ نُزُولِ : ( أَلَمْ تَرَ إِلَى الَّذِينَ خَرَجُوا ) الْآيَةَThe occasion of revelation of the verse "Have you not seen those who went forth from their homes"
56 فَضْلُ آيَةِ الْكُرْسِيِّ وَتَفْسِيرُهَاThe virtue of Ayat al-Kursi and its tafsir
57 قِصَّةُ عُزَيْرٍ عَلَيْهِ السَّلَامُThe story of Uzayr (peace be upon him)
58 نَفَقَتُكَ عَلَى أَهْلِكَ وَوَلَدِكَ وَخَادِمِكَ صَدَقَةٌYour spending on your family, your children and your servant is charity
59 أَوْلَادُكُمْ هِبَةُ اللَّهِ لَكُمْYour children are a gift from Allah to you
60 شَأْنُ نُزُولِ آيَةِ ( وَلَا تَيَمَّمُوا الْخَبِيثَ مِنْهُ تُنْفِقُونَ ) الْآيَةَThe occasion of revelation of the verse "And do not aim at the bad of it to spend from"
61 مَذَمَّةُ الْمُخَابَرَةِ وَجَوَازُ السَّلَفِCondemnation of mukhabarah and the permissibility of salaf
62 تَفْسِيرُ سُورَةِ آلِ عِمْرَانَTafsir of Surah Al Imran
63 نُزُولُ الْقُرْآنِThe revelation of the Quran
64 قِصَّةُ قَتْلِ يَحْيَى بْنِ زَكَرِيَّا عَلَيْهِمَا السَّلَامُThe story of the killing of Yahya bin Zakariyya (peace be upon them both)
65 أَخْبَارُ الْقَتْلِ عِوَضَ الْحُسَيْنِ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ سَبْعِينَ أَلْفًا وَسَبْعِينَ أَلْفًاReports that seventy thousand and seventy thousand will be killed in retribution for al-Husayn (may Allah be pleased with him)
66 الدين الحب والبغضReligion is love and hatred for the sake of Allah
67 شَرْحُ مَعْنَى : ( إِلَّا أَنْ تَتَّقُوا مِنْهُمْ تُقَاةً )Explanation of the meaning of the verse "Unless you guard yourselves against them as a precaution"
68 دَوَاءُ وَجَعِ عِرْقِ النَّسَاءِThe remedy for sciatica
69 شَرْحُ : ( أَوَّلَ بَيْتٍ وُضِعَ لِلنَّاسِ )Explanation of the verse "The first house established for mankind"
70 فَرْضِيَّةُ الْحَجِّ فِي الْعُمُرِ مَرَّةٌ وَاحِدَةٌHajj is obligatory only once in a lifetime
71 شَرْحُ مَعْنَى : ( يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا اتَّقُوا اللَّهَ حَقَّ تُقَاتِهِ )Explanation of the meaning of the verse "O you who believe, fear Allah as He should be feared"
72 شَرْحُ آيَةِ : ( كُنْتُمْ خَيْرَ أُمَّةٍ أُخْرِجَتْ لِلنَّاسِ )Explanation of the verse "You are the best nation brought forth for mankind"
73 خُطْبَةُ أَبِي بَكْرِ الصِّدِّيقِ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ عِنْدَ وَفَاةِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَThe sermon of Abu Bakr al-Siddiq (may Allah be pleased with him) at the death of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him)
74 قِصَّةُ غَزْوَةِ أُحُدٍThe story of the Battle of Uhud
75 أَرْوَاحُ الشُّهَدَاءِ فِي جَوْفِ طَيْرٍ تَرِدُ أَنْهَارَ الْجَنَّةِThe souls of the martyrs are within birds that come to the rivers of Paradise
76 كَانَ آخِرُ كَلَامِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ حِينَ أُلْقِيَ فِي النَّارِ ( حَسْبِيَ اللَّهُ وَنِعْمَ الْوَكِيلُ )The last words of Ibrahim (peace be upon him) when he was thrown into the fire: "Allah is sufficient for me, and He is the best disposer of affairs"
77 مَوْضِعُ سَوْطٍ فِي الْجَنَّةِ لَخَيْرٌ مِنَ الدُّنْيَا وَمَا فِيهَاA space the size of a whip in Paradise is better than the world and all it contains
78 دَوَاءٌ بِنُصْرَةِ اللَّهِ خَيْرٌ مِنْ دَوَاءٍ بِنُصْرَةِ النَّاسِA remedy through the help of Allah is better than a remedy through the help of people
79 شَأْنُ نُزُولِ آيَةِ : ( اصْبِرُوا وَصَابِرُوا ) الْآيَةَThe occasion of revelation of the verse "Be patient and persevere"
80 تَفْسِيرُ سُورَةِ النِّسَاءِTafsir of Surah al-Nisa
81 ثلاثة يدعون الله فلا يستجاب لهمThree who call upon Allah but are not answered
82 الْكَلَالَةُ مَنْ لَا وَلَدَ لَهُAl-Kalalah is one who has no child
83 حَرُمَ مِنَ النَّسَبِ سَبْعٌ وَمِنَ الصِّهْرِ سَبْعٌSeven are forbidden by lineage and seven by marriage
84 فَضِيلَةُ التَّيْسِيرِ عَلَى الْمُوسِرِ وَإِنْظَارِ الْمُعْسِرِThe virtue of being lenient with the well-off and giving respite to one in hardship
85 شَأْنُ نُزُولِ آيَةِ : ( لَا تَقْرَبُوا الصَّلَاةَ وَأَنْتُمْ سُكَارَى )The occasion of revelation of the verse "Do not approach prayer while you are intoxicated"
86 تطليق رافع بن خديج زوجته ونزول الآيةRafi bin Khadij (may Allah be pleased with him) divorcing his wife and the revelation of the verse
87 قصة إسلام النجاشي وغلبة وفد المسلمين على الكافرين عندهThe story of the Negus accepting Islam and the Muslim delegation prevailing over the disbelievers before him
88 تَفْسِيرُ سُورَةِ الْمَائِدَةِ - الْمَائِدَةُ آخِرُ سُورَةٍ نَزَلَتْTafsir of Surah al-Ma'idah: al-Ma'idah is the last surah revealed
89 أُحِلَّتْ ذَبَائِحُ الْيَهُودِ وَالنَّصَارَىThe slaughtered animals of the Jews and Christians have been made lawful
90 ابْنُ أُمِّ عَبْدٍ مِنْ أَقْرَبِهِمْ إِلَى اللَّهِ وَسِيلَةًIbn Umm Abd is among the nearest of them in means of approach to Allah
91 شَأْنُ نُزُولِ آيَةِ : ( وَاللَّهُ يَعْصِمُكَ مِنَ النَّاسِ )The occasion of revelation of the verse "And Allah will protect you from the people"
92 سُؤَالُ قُرَيْشٍ أَنْ يُجْعَلَ لَهُمُ الصَّفَا ذَهَبًاQuraysh asking that al-Safa be turned into gold for them
93 سورة الأنعام شيعها من الملائكة ما سد الأفقTafsir of Surah al-An'am: angels escorting it filled the horizon
94 رَأَى النَّبِيُّ لَيْلَةَ الْإِسْرَاءِ رَبَّهُThe Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) saw his Lord on the night of the Isra
95 أُحِلَّتْ أَشْيَاءُ وَحُرِّمَتْ أَشْيَاءُ وَمَا سَكَتَ عَنْهُ فَهُوَ عَفْوٌSome things were made lawful, some unlawful, and what He was silent about is pardoned
96 شَأْنُ نُزُولِ آيَةِ : ( وَيَسْأَلُونَكَ عَنِ الْيَتَامَى )The occasion of revelation of the verse "And they ask you about the orphans"
97 تَفْسِيرُ سُورَةِ الْأَعْرَافِTafsir of Surah al-A'raf
98 خَلَقَ اللَّهُ أَرْبَعَةَ أَشْيَاءَ بِيَدِهِAllah created four things with His Hand
99 تَفْسِيرُ قَوْلِهِ تَعَالَى : ( فَلَمَّا تَجَلَّى رَبُّهُ لِلْجَبَلِ )Tafsir of the verse "When his Lord manifested Himself to the mountain"
100 لَيْسَ الْخَبَرُ كَالْمُعَايَنَةِHearing is not like seeing
101 قِصَّةُ أَصْحَابِ الْعِجْلِThe story of the people of the calf
102 قِصَّةُ بَنِي إِسْرَائِيلَ وَمَسْخِهِمْ قِرَدَةًThe story of the Children of Israel being transformed into apes
103 شَرْحُ مَعْنَى آيَةِ : ( وَإِذْ أَخَذَ رَبُّكَ مِنْ بَنِي آدَمَ مِنْ ظُهُورِهِمْ ) الْآيَةَExplanation of the meaning of the verse "And when your Lord took from the children of Adam, from their loins"
104 عَطَاءُ آدَمَ أَرْبَعِينَ عَامًا مِنْ عُمُرِهِ لِدَاوُدَ عَلَيْهِ السَّلَامُAdam (peace be upon him) giving forty years of his life to Dawud (peace be upon him)
105 صورة تقسيم الغنائمTafsir of Surah al-Anfal: the distribution of the spoils of war
106 طَعْنُ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ أُبَيَّ بْنَ خَلَفٍ بِيَدِهِ حَتَّى مَاتَ مِنْهُThe Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) struck Ubayy bin Khalaf with his own hand and he died of it
107 شَأْنُ نُزُولِ : ( إِنْ تَسْتَفْتِحُوا فَقَدْ جَاءَكُمُ الْفَتْحُ )The occasion of revelation of the verse "If you sought victory, victory has come to you"
108 شَأْنُ نُزُولِ : ( مَا كَانَ لِنَبِيٍّ أَنْ يَكُونَ لَهُ أَسْرَى ) الْآيَةَThe occasion of revelation of the verse "It is not for a prophet to have captives"
109 تَفْسِيرُ سُورَةِ التَّوْبَةِ - لِمَ لَمْ تُكْتَبْ فِي بَرَاءَةَ: بِسْمِ اللهِ الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحِيمِ؟Tafsir of Surah al-Tawbah: why "In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful" was not written in Bara'ah
110 خُطْبَةُ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي حَجَّةِ الْوَدَاعِThe sermon of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) at the Farewell Hajj
111 أَسْمَاءُ صَنَادِيدِ الْكُفْرِ وَالْأَمْرُ بِقِتَالِهِمْThe names of the chiefs of disbelief and the command to fight them
112 خَيْرُ مَا يَكْنِزُ الْمَرْءُ الْمَرْأَةُ الصَّالِحَةُThe best treasure a man can store is a righteous wife
113 الْمَسْجِدُ الَّذِي أُسِّسَ عَلَى التَّقْوَى مَسْجِدُ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَThe mosque founded on piety is the mosque of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him)
114 ذِكْرُ مَوْتِ أَبِي طَالِبٍ وَهِدَايَةِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ لَهُ إِلَى الْإِيمَانِThe death of Abu Talib and the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) calling him to faith
115 زِيَارَةُ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَبْرَ أُمِّهِThe Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) visiting the grave of his mother
116 آخِرُ مَا نَزَلَ ( لَقَدْ جَاءَكُمْ رَسُولٌ ) الْآيَةَThe last verse revealed: "There has certainly come to you a Messenger"
117 تَفْسِيرُ سُورَةِ يُونُسَTafsir of Surah Yunus
118 رُؤْيَا النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ جِبْرِيلَ وَمِيكَائِيلَThe Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) seeing Jibril and Mika'il in a dream
119 ثُبُوتُ حِمَايَةِ الْحِمَىThe establishment of a protected pasture (hima)
120 شَرْحُ آيَةِ : لَهُمُ الْبُشْرَى فِي الْحَيَاةِ الدُّنْيَا وَفِي الْآخِرَةِExplanation of the verse "For them are glad tidings in the life of this world and in the Hereafter"
121 تَفْسِيرُ سُورَةِ هُودٍTafsir of Surah Hud
122 شَرْحُ مَعْنَى : ( مُسْتَقَرَّهَا وَمُسْتَوْدَعَهَا )Explanation of the meaning of "its dwelling place and its place of deposit"
123 مُكْثُ نُوحٍ عَلَيْهِ السَّلَامُ فِي قَوْمِهِ وَعَمَلُ السَّفِينَةِThe long stay of Nuh (peace be upon him) among his people and the building of the ark
124 مَثَلُ أَهْلِ بَيْتِي مَثَلُ سَفِينَةِ نُوحٍThe example of my household is like the ark of Nuh

151 سَأَلَ أَهْلُ مَكَّةَ أَنْ تُنَحَّى عَنْهُمُ الْجِبَالُ فَيَزْرَعُوا فِيهَاThe people of Makkah asked that the mountains be moved away so that they could farm

276 عَمَلُ دَفْعِ الْغَضَبِ عَنِ الْغَضْبَانِA practice for removing the anger of an angry person
277 التَّقَرُّبُ إِلَى اللَّهِ بِكَلَامِ اللَّهِ أَحَبُّ إِلَيْهِNothing draws one closer to Allah more dearly to Him than His own speech

281 تَوْضِيحُ مَعْنَى آيَةِ إِلَّا الْمَوَدَّةَ فِي الْقُرْبَى 3712 - فَحَدَّثَنَاهُ أَبُو الْعَبَّاسِ أَحْمَدُ بْنُ هَارُونَ الْفَقِيهُ ، ثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ ، ثَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ عَوْنٍ ، ثَنَا هُشَيْمٌ ، أَنْبَأَ دَاوُدُ ، عَنِ الشَّعْبِيِّ قَالَ : أَكْثَرَ النَّاسُ عَلَيْنَا فِي هَذِهِ الْآيَةِ : قُلْ لَا أَسْأَلُكُمْ عَلَيْهِ أَجْرًا إِلَّا الْمَوَدَّةَ فِي الْقُرْبَى فَكَتَبْنَا إِلَى ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ نَسْأَلُهُ عَنْ ذَلِكَ فَكَتَبَ ابْنُ عَبَّاسٍ : إِنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَانَ أَوْسَطَ بَيْتٍ فِي قُرَيْشٍ لَيْسَ بَطْنٌ مِنْ بُطُونِهِمْ إِلَّا قَدْ وَلَدَهُ " فَقَالَ اللَّهُ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ : قُلْ لَا أَسْأَلُكُمْ عَلَيْهِ أَجْرًا إِلَى مَا أَدْعُوكُمْ إِلَيْهِ إِلَّا أَنْ تَوَدُّونِي بِقَرَابَتِي مِنْكُمْ وَتَحْفَظُونِي بِهَا . قَالَ هُشَيْمٌ : وَأَخْبَرَنِي حُصَيْنٌ عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُمَا بِنَحْوٍ مِنْ ذَلِكَ . " هَذَا حَدِيثٌ وَلَمْ يُخْرِجَاهُ بِهَذِهِ الزِّيَادَةِ ، وَهُوَ صَحِيحٌ عَلَى شَرْطِهِمَا " ، " فَإِنَّ حَدِيثَ عِكْرِمَةَ صَحِيحٌ عَلَى شَرْطِ الْبُخَارِيِّ وَحَدِيثُ دَاوُدَ بْنِ أَبِي هِنْدَ صَحِيحٌ عَلَى شَرْطِ مُسْلِمٍ .Explanation of the meaning of the verse "except love for kinship"

287 تَوْضِيحُ مَعْنَى آيَةِ وَإِنَّهُ لَعِلْمٌ لِلسَّاعَةِ 3727 - حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ صَالِحِ بْنِ هَانِئٍ ، ثَنَا الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ الْفُضَيْلِ ، ثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ سَابِقٍ ، ثَنَا إِسْرَائِيلُ ، عَنْ سِمَاكِ بْنِ حَرْبٍ ، عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُمَا ، فِي قَوْلِهِ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ : وَإِنَّهُ لَعِلْمٌ لِلسَّاعَةِ قَالَ : " خُرُوجُ عِيسَى ابْنِ مَرْيَمَ " . " هَذَا حَدِيثٌ صَحِيحُ الْإِسْنَادِ وَلَمْ يُخْرِجَاهُ .Explanation of the meaning of the verse "And indeed it is a sign of the Hour"

291 إِنَّ لِلَّهِ ثَلَاثَةَ أَثْوَابٍAllah has three garments
