Mustadrak al-Hakim — Hadith 3995

أخبرنا عبد الرحمن بن الحسن القاضي، حدَّثنا إبراهيم بن الحسين، حدَّثنا آدم بن أبي إياس، حدَّثنا وَرْقاء، عن ابن أبي نَجيحٍ، عن مجاهدٍ، عن ابن عبَّاس في قوله ﷿: ﴿وَالتِّينِ وَالزَّيْتُونِ﴾، قال: الفاكهةُ التي يأكلُها الناسُ ﴿وَطُورِ سِينِينَ﴾ قال: الطُّور: الجبلُ، وسينين، قال: المبارَك (2).
هذا حديث صحيح على شرط الشيخين، ولم يُخرجاه.

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) concerning the words of Allah Almighty: "By the fig and the olive" [Surah al-Tin: 1], that he said: "These are the very fruits (fig and olive) that people eat." And concerning "And by Mount Sinai (Tur Sinin)" [Surah al-Tin: 2], he said: "Tur means the mountain, and Sinin means blessed."
This hadith is sahih (authentic) on the condition of the two Shaykhs (Bukhari and Muslim), but they did not record it.

(2) صحيح لكن من تفسير مجاهد، ورجاله ثقات غير عبد الرحمن بن الحسن القاضي ففيه ضعف، وقد توبع.
Grading: It is sahih, but as the tafsir of Mujahid. Its narrators are trustworthy except Abd al-Rahman bin al-Hasan al-Qadi, in whom there is weakness, but he has been corroborated.
وهو في "تفسير آدم بن أبي إياس" برواية ابن شاذان عن عبد الرحمن بن الحسن 2/ 769 من تفسير مجاهد لم يجاوزه.
Reference / Source: It is in "Tafsir Adam bin Abi Iyas" (2/769) in the narration of Ibn Shadhan from Abd al-Rahman bin al-Hasan, as the tafsir of Mujahid, going no further than him.
وكذلك رواه محمد بن يوسف الفريابي عن ورقاء كما في "تغليق التعليق" 4/ 373، والحسن ين موسى الأشيب عن ورقاء عند الطبراني 30/ 239 و 241.
Reference / Source: Likewise it was narrated by Muhammad bin Yusuf al-Firyabi from Warqa' (as in "Taghliq al-Ta'liq" 4/373), and by al-Hasan bin Musa al-Ashyab from Warqa' (in al-Tabarani 30/239, 241).
ورواه أيضًا من تفسير مجاهد عند الطبري سفيانُ الثوري وعيسى بن ميمون عن عبد الله بن أبي نجيح.
Reference / Source: It was also narrated as the tafsir of Mujahid, in al-Tabari, by Sufyan al-Thawri and 'Isa bin Maymun from Abdullah bin Abi Najih.
