حدثنا أبو عبد الله محمد بن يعقوب الحافظ، حدثنا حامد بن محمود، حدثنا إسحاق بن سليمان الرازي، حدثنا حنظلة، عن طاووس، عن ابن عبَّاس قال: لا يَنفعُ الحذرُ من القَدَر، ولكنَّ الله يَمحُو بالدعاءِ ما يشاء من القَدَر (1).
هذا حديث صحيح الإسناد، ولم يُخرجاه.

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) that he said: "Caution against destiny is of no benefit, but Allah Almighty erases through supplication whatever He wills of destiny."
The chain of this hadith is sahih (authentic), but the two Shaykhs (Bukhari and Muslim) did not record it.

Hadith 3374

أخبرنا أبو زكريا العَنبَري، حدثنا محمد بن عبد السلام، حدثنا إسحاق، أخبرنا عبد الرزاق، أخبرنا الثَّوري، عن طلحة، عن عطاء، عن ابن عبَّاس في قوله ﷿: ﴿أَوَلَمْ يَرَوْا أَنَّا نَأْتِي الْأَرْضَ نَنْقُصُهَا مِنْ أَطْرَافِهَا﴾ [الرعد: 41]، قال: موتُ علمائِها وفقهائِها (2).
هذا حديث صحيح الإسناد، ولم يُخرجاه. 14 - سورة إبراهيم ﵇ - ﷽

[Surah al-Ra'd: 41], that he said: "It refers to the death of the land's scholars and jurists."
