أخبرنيه أبو الحسن علي بن محمد بن عُقْبة، حدثنا الحسن بن علي بن عفَّان العامري، حدثنا الحسن بن عَطيَّة (2)، حدثنا علي بن صالح، عن سِمَاك، عن عِكْرمة عن ابن عبَّاس قال: حَرُمَ سبعٌ من النَّسب، وسبعٌ من الصِّهْر (3).

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) (through another chain) that he said: Seven (relations) are forbidden because of lineage, and seven because of relationship by marriage.

(2) زاد هنا في نسخنا الخطية حدثنا علي بن عطية، وهي زيادة مقحمة.
Note / Clarification: Here our manuscripts add "حدثنا علي بن عطية", and this is an interpolated addition.
(3) خبر صحيح وهذا إسناد حسن، سماك -وهو ابن حرب- وإن كان في روايته عن عكرمة اضطراب، قد توبع.
Grading: The report is sahih and this chain is hasan; Simak (Ibn Harb), although his narration from Ikrimah contains inconsistency (idtirab), has been corroborated.
وأخرجه الطبري في "تفسيره" 4/ 320، والجصاص في "أحكام القرآن" 3/ 64، والطبراني في "الكبير" (11772) من طريقين عن علي بن صالح، بهذا الإسناد.
Reference / Source: Al-Tabari in his "Tafsir" (4/ 320), al-Jassas in "Ahkam al-Qur'an" (3/ 64), and al-Tabarani in "al-Kabir" (11772) recorded it by two routes from Ali bin Salih, with this chain.
وأخرجه الطبراني (11956) من طريق نعيم بن حماد، عن عبد الوهاب الثقفي، عن خالد الحذّاء، عن عكرمة به وانظر ما قبله.
Reference / Source: Al-Tabarani recorded it (11956) by way of Nu'aym bin Hammad, from Abd al-Wahhab al-Thaqafi, from Khalid al-Hadhdha', from Ikrimah, with the same chain.
