The character of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) was the Quran

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Sa'd bin Hisham bin Amir that he asked the Mother of the Believers, Sayyidah Aishah (may Allah be pleased with her), concerning the saying of Allah, the Mighty and Majestic, "And indeed you are of a great moral character" [Al-Qalam: 4]: O Mother of the Believers, tell me about the character of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him). She said: Do you not read the Qur'an? I said: Of course. She said: "Indeed, the character of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) was the Qur'an."
This hadith is sahih (authentic) on the condition of the two Shaykhs (Bukhari and Muslim), but they did not record it.

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) concerning the saying of Allah, the Mighty and Majestic, "cruel, and moreover of doubtful birth (zanim)" [Al-Qalam: 13], that he said: "('Zanim' is one who) is known for his evil just as a goat is known by the piece of flesh hanging from its ear ('zanamah')."
This hadith is sahih (authentic) on the condition of the two Shaykhs (Bukhari and Muslim), but they did not record it.

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Amr bin al-As (may Allah be pleased with them both) that he recited this verse: "A preventer of good, a transgressor, a sinner, cruel, and moreover of doubtful birth", and said: I heard the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) say: "The people of Hell are everyone who is ill-mannered, rough, arrogant and a hoarder of wealth, while the people of Paradise are the weak who are kept oppressed (in this world)."
This hadith is sahih (authentic) on the condition of Imam Muslim, but they did not record it with this wording, although the two Shaykhs (Bukhari and Muslim) recorded it in brief from the narration of Harithah bin Wahb.

It is narrated that Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) was asked about the saying of Allah, the Mighty and Majestic: "On the Day when the shin will be laid bare" [Al-Qalam: 42], and he said: "When some meaning of the Qur'an is hidden from you, then seek it in poetry, for it is the register (diwan) of the Arabs. Have you not heard the words of the poet: 'O Anaq, be patient, for this is an evil that still remains; your people have established for me the practice of striking necks, and war has risen up among us in its full severity (upon its "shin").' Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) said: This refers to the Day of Resurrection, which will be a day of extreme distress and severity."
This hadith has a sahih (authentic) chain of narration, and it is more worthy than a hadith narrated from Ibn Mas'ud with a sahih chain, which I did not consider appropriate to narrate in this place.
