حدثنا الحسن بن يعقوب وإبراهيم بن عِصْمةَ قالا: حدثنا السَّرِيُّ بن خُزيمة، حدثنا موسى بن إسماعيل، حدثنا وُهَيب، عن داود بن أبي هِند، عن عِكْرمة، عن ابن عبَّاس في قوله ﷿: ﴿يَاأَيُّهَا الْمُدَّثِّرُ (1)﴾، قال: دُثِّرتَ هذا الأمرَ فقُمْ به (1).
هذا حديث صحيح الإسناد، ولم يُخرجاه.

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) concerning the saying of Allah Almighty: "O you who are covered in a cloak" [Al-Muddaththir: 1], that he said: (It means that) you (peace and blessings be upon him) have been clothed with the mantle of this matter (conveying the religion), so now stand up for it.
This hadith has a sahih (authentic) chain of narration, but the two Shaykhs (Bukhari and Muslim) did not record it.

Hadith 3911

أخبرنا أبو عبد الله محمد بن عبد الله الصَّفّار، حدثنا أحمد بن محمد البِرْتيُّ، حدثنا أبو نُعَيم، حدثنا سفيان، عن ابن جُريج، عن عطاء، عن ابن عبَّاس: ﴿وَثِيَابَكَ فَطَهِّرْ (4)﴾ [المدثر: 4]، قال: من الإثْم. (2).
هذا حديث صحيح على شرط الشيخين، ولم يُخرجاه.

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) concerning the saying of Allah Almighty: "And your garments purify" [Al-Muddaththir: 4], that he said: (It means keep yourself pure) from sins.
This hadith is sahih (authentic) on the condition of the two Shaykhs (Bukhari and Muslim), but they did not record it.

Hadith 3912

حدثنا أبو العبَّاس محمد بن يعقوب، حدثنا العبَّاس بن محمد الدُّوري، حدثنا يزيد بن هارون والأنصاريُّ، عن سليمان التَّيْمي، عن أسلمَ العِجْلي، عن بِشْر بن شَغَاف، عن عبد الله بن عَمرو بن العاص قال: جاء أعرابيٌّ إلى النبي ﷺ فقال: ما الصُّورُ؟ قال: "قَرْنُ يُنفَخ فيه" (3).
هذا حديث صحيح الإسناد، ولم يُخرجاه.

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Amr bin al-As (may Allah be pleased with them both) that a Bedouin came to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and said: What is the "Trumpet" (sur, which will be blown on the Day of Resurrection)? He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "It is a horn (-like instrument) into which a blowing will be made."
This hadith has a sahih (authentic) chain of narration, but the two Shaykhs (Bukhari and Muslim) did not record it.
