أخبرنا أبو عبد الله الصَّفّار، حدثنا أبو بكر بن أبي الدُّنيا، حدثنا إسحاق بن إبراهيم، حدثنا عتّاب (4) بن المثنَّى، حدثني بَهْز بن حَكيم قال: أَمَّنا زُرَارَةُ بن أَوفى في مسجد بني قُشير، فقرأ المدَّثِّر، فلما انتهى إلى هذه الآية: ﴿فَإِذَا نُقِرَ فِي النَّاقُورِ﴾ [المدثر: 8]، خَرَّ ميّتًا، قال بَهْر: فكنتُ فيمن حَمَله (1).

It is narrated from Bahz bin Hakim (may Allah have mercy on him) that he said: Zurarah bin Awfa (may Allah have mercy on him) led us in prayer in the mosque of Banu Qushayr, and he recited Surah al-Muddaththir. When he reached this verse: "And when the Trumpet is blown" [Al-Muddaththir: 8], he fell (out of fear of Allah) and passed away. Bahz (may Allah have mercy on him) said: I was among those who carried his bier.

Note / Clarification: In our manuscripts this is misspelled as "Ghiyath".
(1) إسناده حسن إن شاء الله من أجل عتاب بن المثنى، وإسحاق بن إبراهيم الذي يروي عنه: هو إسحاق بن أبي إسرائيل.
Grading: Its chain is "hasan", if Allah wills, because of 'Attab bin al-Muthanna. And Ishaq bin Ibrahim, who narrates from him, is "Ishaq bin Abi Isra'il".
وأخرجه الترمذي (445 م) عن عبَّاس بن عبد العظيم العنبري، عن عتاب بن المثنى، بهذا الإسناد.
Reference / Source: Al-Tirmidhi (445 m) narrated it from 'Abbas bin 'Abd al-'Azim al-'Anbari, from 'Attab bin al-Muthanna, with this same chain.
