حدثنا أبو العبَّاس محمد بن يعقوب، حدثنا العبَّاس بن محمد الدُّوري، حدثنا يزيد بن هارون والأنصاريُّ، عن سليمان التَّيْمي، عن أسلمَ العِجْلي، عن بِشْر بن شَغَاف، عن عبد الله بن عَمرو بن العاص قال: جاء أعرابيٌّ إلى النبي ﷺ فقال: ما الصُّورُ؟ قال: "قَرْنُ يُنفَخ فيه" (3).
هذا حديث صحيح الإسناد، ولم يُخرجاه.

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Amr bin al-As (may Allah be pleased with them both) that a Bedouin came to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and said: What is the "Trumpet" (sur, which will be blown on the Day of Resurrection)? He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "It is a horn (-like instrument) into which a blowing will be made."
This hadith has a sahih (authentic) chain of narration, but the two Shaykhs (Bukhari and Muslim) did not record it.

(3) إسناده صحيح. الأنصاري: هو محمد بن عبد الله بن المثنى من أولاد أنس بن مالك.
Grading: Its chain is "sahih". Al-Ansari is "Muhammad bin 'Abd Allah bin al-Muthanna", one of the descendants of Anas bin Malik.
وقد سلف الحديث برقم (3673) من طريق معمر عن سليمان بن طرخان التيمي.
Reference / Source: This hadith has already passed at number (3673) by way of Ma'mar from Sulayman bin Tarkhan al-Taymi.
Grading: Its chain is "sahih". Al-Ansari is "Muhammad bin 'Abd Allah bin al-Muthanna", one of the descendants of Anas bin Malik.
