It is narrated from Sayyidah Umm Salamah (may Allah be pleased with her), the pure wife of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) used to break up his recitation (pausing after each verse): "In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful", "All praise is for Allah, the Lord of the worlds", "The Most Gracious, the Most Merciful", "Master of the Day of Judgement" [Surah al-Fatihah: 1-4].
