حدثنا أبو العبَّاس محمد بن يعقوب، حدثنا العبَّاس بن محمد الدُّورِي، حدثنا علي بن عاصم، أخبرنا حُمَيد الطَّويل، عن أنس بن مالك قال: قال رسول الله ﷺ: "خَلَقَ الله جنَّة عَدْنٍ وغَرَسَ أشجارَها بيده، فقال لها: تكلَّمي، فقالت: قد أفلَحَ المؤمنونَ" (2).
هذا حديث صحيح الإسناد، ولم يُخرجاه.

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Allah Almighty created the Garden of Eden and planted its trees with His Hand. Then He said to it: 'Speak.' It said: 'Successful indeed are the believers' [Surah al-Mu'minun: 1]."
The chain of narration of this hadith is sahih (authentic), but the two Shaykhs (Bukhari and Muslim) did not record it.

(2) إسناده ضعيف لضعف علي بن عاصم وكثرة غلطه، وضعَّف الذهبي في "التلخيص" هذا الإسناد.
Grading: (2) Its chain is "da'if" because of the "weakness" of Ali bin Asim and his many mistakes, and al-Dhahabi declared it weak in "al-Talkhis".
وأخرجه البيهقي في "الأسماء والصفات" (691) عن أبي عبد الله الحاكم، بهذا الإسناد.
Reference / Source: Al-Bayhaqi narrated it in "al-Asma' wa al-Sifat" (691) through al-Hakim.
وأخرجه ابن عدي في "الكامل" 5/ 193، وابن بطة في "الإبانة" 7/ 302، والخطيب في "تاريخ بغداد" 11/ 335 من طريقين عن علي بن عاصم، به.

وأخرجه بنحوه ابن أبي الدنيا في "صفة الجنة" (20)، وأبو نعيم في "صفة الجنة" أيضًا (17) من طريق محمد بن زياد الكلبي، عن بشر بن الحسين، عن سعيد بن أبي عروبة، عن قتادة، عن أنس مرفوعًا بلفظ: "خلق الله جنة عدن بيده، لبنةً من درّة بيضاء … " وساق من أوصافها "ثم قال لها: انطقي، قالت: قد أفلح المؤمنون … " وذكر بعده كلامًا. وهذا إسناد واهٍ، محمد بن زياد ليس بذاك، وشيخه بشر بن الحسين - وهو الأصبهاني الهلالي - متروك الحديث متهم بالوضع.
Reference / Source: Ibn Abi al-Dunya and Abu Nu'aym narrated it in "Sifat al-Jannah" via Muhammad bin Ziyad al-Kalbi, from Bishr bin al-Husayn, from Sa'id bin Abi Arubah, from Qatadah, from Anas as "marfu'".
Grading: This chain is "wahin" (very weak); Muhammad bin Ziyad is not reliable, and his shaykh Bishr bin al-Husayn (al-Asbahani al-Hilali) is "matruk al-hadith" and "accused" of fabrication.
وفي الباب عن ابن عبَّاس عند الطبراني في "الأوسط" (5518) من طريق أبي صالح باذان، وعنده في "الكبير" (11439) و"الأوسط" (738) - ومن طريقه الضياء في "المختارة" (221) - وتمّام في "فوائده" (258) و (259) من طريق عطاء، كلاهما عنه مرفوعًا بلفظين مختلفين إلّا أنه فيهما: "خلق الله جنة عدن بيده" ولم يذكر عطاء في حديثه لفظ "بيده"، وفيهما أيضًا: "قال لها: تكلمي … إلخ"، وفي الإسنادين ضعفٌ وأشدُّهما ضعفًا طريق أبي صالح باذام.
Corroborating chains and supporting reports: On this topic it is narrated from Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) as "marfu'" with al-Tabarani in "al-Awsat" (5518) via Abu Salih Badhan, and in "al-Kabir" (11439) and "al-Awsat" (738) via Ata'. Both contain "Allah created the Garden of Eden with His Hand" (Ata' did not mention "with His Hand") and the words "Speak".
Grading: Both chains have "weakness", and the route of Abu Salih Badham is weaker.
وعن أبي سعيد الخدري عند الطبراني في "الأوسط" (3701)، وإسناده ضعيف جدًّا.
Corroborating chains and supporting reports: From Abu Sa'id al-Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) it is in al-Tabarani (al-Awsat: 3701), and its chain is "extremely weak" (da'if jiddan).
وقد أخرج ابن أبي شيبة في "مصنفه" 13/ 141 بإسناد رجاله ثقات عن عبد الله بن الحارث - وهو الزبيدي الكوفي أحد التابعين - قال: لما خلق الله جنة عدن قال لها: تكلمي، فقالت: قد أفلح المؤمنون. وهذا موقوف من قوله لم يُسنِده.
Reference / Source: Ibn Abi Shaybah (13/ 141) narrated with a chain of thiqah narrators from Abd Allah bin al-Harith (al-Zubaydi al-Kufi, a Tabi'i): "When Allah created the Garden of Eden He said to it: Speak. It said: Qad aflaha al-mu'minun (Successful indeed are the believers)." This is his own "mawquf" statement.
Grading: (2) Its chain is "da'if" because of the "weakness" of Ali bin Asim and his many mistakes, and al-Dhahabi declared it weak in "al-Talkhis".
