أخبرنا أبو أحمد محمد بن محمد بن إسحاق الصَّفّار العَدْل، حدثنا أحمد بن نَصْر، حدثنا عمرو بن طلحة القَنَّاد، حدثنا أسباط بن نَصْر، عن إسماعيل ابن عبد الرحمن السُّدِّي، عن مُرَّة الهَمْداني، عن عبد الله بن مسعود وعن (5) ناسٍ من أصحاب النبي ﷺ: ﴿مَالِكِ يَوْمِ الدِّينِ﴾ قال: هو يومُ الحِساب (1).
هذا حديث صحيح على شرط مسلم، ولم يُخرجاه.

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) and other Companions of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), concerning the saying of Allah, the Mighty and Majestic: "Master of the Day of Judgement" [Surah al-Fatihah: 4], that it refers to the Day of Reckoning.
This hadith is sahih (authentic) on the condition of Muslim, but the two Shaykhs (Imam Bukhari and Muslim) did not record it.

(5) هكذا في (ب)، وفي (ز) و (ص) و (ع): عن بإسقاط الواو، وهو خطأ وما في (ب) هو الصواب، وهذه نسخة معروفة في التفسير.
Note / Clarification: This is how it is in manuscript (B), while in manuscripts (Z), (S) and ('A) it is "عن" with the waw dropped, which is an error; what is in manuscript (B) is correct, and this is a well-known transmitted collection (nuskhah) in tafsir.

Grading: Its chain is hasan.
وأخرجه الطبري في "تفسيره" 1/ 68 عن موسى بن هارون الهمداني، عن عمرو القنّاد بهذا الإسناد.
Reference / Source: Al-Tabari recorded it in his "Tafsir" 1/68 from Musa bin Harun al-Hamdani from 'Amr al-Qannad, with this chain.
