حدثنا علي بن حَمْشَاذَ العَدْل، حدثنا إسماعيل بن إسحاق القاضي، حدثنا أبو الوليد، حدثنا نافع بن عمر الجُمَحيّ، عن ابن أبي مُلَيكة قال: سُئِلَ ابنُ عبّاس عن الوِلْدان: في الجنَّةِ هم؟ قال: حَسْبُك ما اختَصَمَ فيه موسى والخَضِرُ (1).
هذا حديث صحيح الإسناد، ولم يُخرجاه.

It is narrated from Ibn Abi Mulaykah; he said: Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) was asked about the children (of the polytheists): will they be in Paradise? He said: "It is enough for you to know that this very matter is what Sayyiduna Musa and al-Khadir (peace be upon them both) disagreed about."
The chain of narration of this hadith is sahih (authentic), but the two Shaykhs (Bukhari and Muslim) did not record it.

(1) إسناده صحيح. أبو الوليد: هو هشام بن عبد الملك الطيالسي، وابن أبي مليكة: هو عبد الله بن عُبيد الله بن أبي مليكة.
Grading: (1) Its chain is "sahih".
Technical note / Defect ('illah): Abu al-Walid is Hisham bin Abd al-Malik al-Tayalisi, and Ibn Abi Mulaykah is Abdullah bin 'Ubaydullah bin Abi Mulaykah.
وأخرجه البيهقي في "القضاء والقدر" (643) عن أبي عبد الله الحاكم، بهذا الإسناد.
Reference / Source: And al-Bayhaqi documented it in "al-Qada' wa-l-Qadar" (643) from Abu Abdullah al-Hakim, with this chain.
