The children of the believers are in Paradise in the care of Ibrahim (peace be upon him)

أخبرنا الحسين بن الحسن بن أيوب، حدثنا أبو حاتم الرَّازي، حدثنا عبد الله بن صالح بن مُسلِم العِجْلي، حدثنا عبد الرحمن بن ثابت بن ثَوْبان، عن عطاء بن قُرَّة، عن عبد الله بن ضَمْرة، عن أبي هريرة، أنَّ رسول الله ﷺ قال: "إِنَّ ذَرَارِيَّ المؤمنين في الجنة يَكفُلُهم إبراهيمُ" (2).
هذا حديث صحيح الإسناد، ولم يُخرجاه. وقد اتَّفَقَ الشيخانِ على إخراج حديث سعيد بن جُبير عن ابن عبَّاس: أنَّ النبي ﷺ سُئِلَ عن أطفال المشركين، فقال: "الله أعلمُ بما كانوا عامِلِينَ" (3).

هذا حديث صحيح الإسناد، ولم يُخرجاه. وقد اتَّفَقَ الشيخانِ على إخراج حديث سعيد بن جُبير عن ابن عبَّاس: أنَّ النبي ﷺ سُئِلَ عن أطفال المشركين، فقال: "الله أعلمُ بما كانوا عامِلِينَ" (3).

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "The children of the believers will be in Paradise under the care of Sayyiduna Ibrahim (peace be upon him)."
The chain of narration of this hadith is sahih (authentic), but the two Shaykhs (Bukhari and Muslim) did not record it. And the two Shaykhs (Imam Bukhari and Imam Muslim) agreed on recording this hadith narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both): that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) was asked about the children of the polytheists, and he (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Allah knows best what they would have done had they grown up."
The chain of narration of this hadith is sahih (authentic), but the two Shaykhs (Bukhari and Muslim) did not record it. And the two Shaykhs (Imam Bukhari and Imam Muslim) agreed on recording this hadith narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both): that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) was asked about the children of the polytheists, and he (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Allah knows best what they would have done had they grown up."

وأخرجه أحمد (14/ 8324)، وابن حبان (7446) من طريقين عن عبد الرحمن بن ثابت، بهذا الإسناد.
Reference / Source: Ahmad (14/ 8324) and Ibn Hibban (7446) narrated it through two routes from Abd al-Rahman bin Thabit, with this chain.
