It is narrated from Sulaym bin Amir that a man came to Sayyiduna Abu Umamah (may Allah be pleased with him) and said: O Abu Umamah, I saw in a dream that whenever you enter (the house), go out, stand up or sit down, the angels send blessings (supplication) upon you. Sayyiduna Abu Umamah (may Allah be pleased with him) said: "O Allah, forgive! Keep us away (from such praise); you too, if you wished, the angels would send blessings upon you." Then he recited this verse: [Surah al-Ahzab: 41-43] "O you who believe, remember Allah with much remembrance, and glorify Him morning and evening. It is He who sends mercy upon you, and His angels (supplicate for you), so that He may bring you out of the darkness into the light, and He is ever Most Merciful to the believers."
This hadith is sahih (authentic) on the condition of Imam Muslim, but the two Shaykhs (Bukhari and Muslim) did not record it.
