حَدَّثَنَا أبو العبَّاس محمد بن يعقوب، حَدَّثَنَا أحمد بن عبد الجبار، حَدَّثَنَا يونس بن بُكَير، عن محمد بن إسحاق، عن يحيى بن عبّاد بن عبد الله بن الزُّبير، عن أبيه، عن جدَّته أسماء بنت أبي بكر قالت: سمعتُ رسول الله ﷺ يقول يَصِفُ سِدْرةَ المُنتهى قال: "يسيرُ الراكبُ في الفَنَن منها مئةَ سنة، يَستظلُّ بالفَنَن مئةُ راكبٍ، فيها فَراشٌ من ذهب" (1).
هذا حديث صحيح على شرط مسلم، ولم يُخرجاه.

It is narrated from Sayyidah Asma' bint Abi Bakr (may Allah be pleased with her) that she said: I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) describing the Lote Tree of the Utmost Boundary (Sidrat al-Muntaha). He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "A rider would travel (in the shade of) one of its branches for a hundred years; a hundred riders could take shade under each one of its branches; and upon it are butterflies of gold (swarming)."
This hadith is sahih (authentic) on the condition of Imam Muslim, but the two Shaykhs did not record it.

أخبرنا أبو بكر محمد بن عبد الله الشافعي، حَدَّثَنَا إسحاق بن الحسن، حَدَّثَنَا أبو حُذَيفة، حَدَّثَنَا سفيان عن منصور، عن مجاهد، عن ابن عبَّاس في قوله: ﴿مَا زَاغَ الْبَصَرُ﴾ قال: ما ذهب يمينًا ولا شمالًا ﴿وَمَا طَغَى﴾ [النجم: 17] قال: ما جاوَزَه (2).

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) concerning the saying of Allah Almighty: "The sight (of his eye) did not swerve", that he said: This means that it turned neither to the right nor to the left; and "nor did it transgress" [Surah al-Najm: 17] means that it did not go beyond its appointed limit.
