حَدَّثَنَا أبو محمد عبد الله بن إسحاق المقرئ العَدْل، حَدَّثَنَا عبد الملك بن محمد، حَدَّثَنَا عبد الصمد بن عبد الوارث، حدثني أَبي، حَدَّثَنَا أيوب، عن عِكْرمة، عن ابن عبَّاس: أنَّ النَّبِيّ ﷺ سَجَدَ فيها - يعني: ﴿وَالنَّجْمِ﴾. وسَجَدَ فيها المسلمون والمشركون والجنُّ والإنسُ (2). صحيح على شرط البخاري، ولم يخرجاه بهذه السياقة!

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) prostrated during the recitation of Surah al-Najm, and the Muslims, the polytheists, the jinn and mankind (all) prostrated with him.
This hadith is sahih (authentic) on the condition of Imam Bukhari, but the two Shaykhs did not record it with this wording.

Hadith 3788

أخبرنا أبو زكريا العَنبَري، حَدَّثَنَا محمد بن عبد السلام، حَدَّثَنَا إسحاق، أخبرنا يحيى بن آدم، أخبرنا إسرائيل، عن أبي إسحاق، عن عبد الرحمن بن يزيد، عن عبد الله في قوله ﷿: ﴿مَا كَذَبَ الْفُؤَادُ مَا رَأَى﴾ [النجم: 11]، قال: رأى رسولُ الله ﷺ جبريل في حُلَّةِ رَفْرفٍ قد مَلأَ ما بين السماءِ والأرض (1). صحيح على شرط الشيخين، ولم يُخرجاه.

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) concerning the saying of Allah, the Mighty and Majestic: "The heart did not lie about what it saw" [Surah al-Najm: 11], that he said: "The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) saw Jibril (peace be upon him) in a robe of fine green silk (rafraf), and he had filled the space between the heaven and the earth."
This hadith is sahih (authentic) on the condition of the two Shaykhs (Bukhari and Muslim), but they did not record it.

Hadith 3789

أخبرنا أبو زكريا العَنبَري، حَدَّثَنَا محمد بن عبد السلام، حَدَّثَنَا إسحاق بن إبراهيم، أخبرنا معاذ بن هشام، حَدَّثَنَا أَبي، عن قَتَادة، عن عِكْرمة، عن ابن عبَّاس قال: أَتعجَبون أن تكون الخُلَّةُ لإبراهيم، والكلامُ لموسى، والرُّؤيةُ لمحمدٍ؛ صلوات الله عليهم أجمعين (2).
هذا حديث صحيح على شرط البخاري، ولم يُخرجاه.

Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) said: "Do you wonder that the honour of close friendship (with Allah) was given to Ibrahim (peace be upon him), the honour of being spoken to (by Allah) was given to Musa (peace be upon him), and the honour of seeing (the Lord) was given to Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him)? May the blessings of Allah Almighty be upon them all."
This hadith is sahih (authentic) on the condition of Imam Bukhari, but the two Shaykhs did not record it.
