It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) concerning this saying of Allah Almighty: "Do you know of anyone equal to Him in name?" [Surah Maryam: 65]; he said: "No one besides Allah, the Mighty and Majestic, has been named 'al-Rahman'."
This hadith has a sahih (authentic) chain of narration, but the two Shaykhs (Bukhari and Muslim) did not record it.

Explanation & Benefits
Shaykh Adil Murshid et al.
(3809). Grading: (1) Its chain is "hasan". Technical note / Defect ('illah): All its narrators, to the last of them, are "thiqah" except Simak bin Harb, who is "saduq" and "hasan al-hadith", though some of his narrations from 'Ikrimah in particular contain "idtirab" (disorder). This narration will come again, repeated, at no. (3809). Reference / Source: Al-Bayhaqi recorded it in "al-Asma' wa al-Sifat" (86) from al-Hakim, with this chain. Reference / Source: Ibn Abi Hatim recorded it in his "Tafsir" (8/ 2715) via Yahya bin Abi Za'idah, and al-Bayhaqi in "Shu'ab al-Iman" (122) via Khalid bin Yazid, both from Isra'il, with it.
