حَدَّثَنَا الشيخ أبو بكر بن إسحاق، أخبرنا إسماعيل بن إسحاق القاضي والعبَّاس بن الفَضْل الأَسْفاطي قالا: حَدَّثَنَا إسماعيل بن أبي أُوَيس، حدثني مُجمِّع بن يعقوب، عن أبيه قال: سمعتُ مجمِّعَ بن جاريةَ يقول: أَقبَلْنا مع رسول الله ﷺ من الحُديبيَة حتَّى بَلَغَ رسولُ الله ﷺ كُرَاعَ الغَمِيم، فإذا الناسُ يَرسِمون نحوَ رسول الله ﷺ، فقال بعض الناس لبعض ما للناسِ؟ قالوا: أُوحِيَ إلى رسول الله ﷺ، فحرَّكْنا حتَّى وَجَدْنا رسولَ الله ﷺ عند كُراعِ الغَميم واقفًا، فلما اجتمع عليه الناسُ قرأ عليهم: ﴿إِنَّا فَتَحْنَا لَكَ فَتْحًا مُبِينًا﴾، فقال بعض الناس: أوَفَتحٌ هو؟ قال: "والذي نفسي بيدِه إنَّه لَفَتحٌ" (1).
هذا حديث صحيح على شرط مسلم، ولم يُخرجاه.

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Mujammi' bin Jariyah (may Allah be pleased with him) that he said: We were returning with the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) from Hudaybiyah, until when the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) reached Kura' al-Ghamim, suddenly the people began to urge their mounts (swiftly) towards the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him). Some people asked others: "What is the matter with the people?" They replied: "Revelation has come down to the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him)." So we too urged on our mounts until we found the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) standing at Kura' al-Ghamim. When all the people had gathered around him (peace and blessings be upon him), he (peace and blessings be upon him) recited to them: "Indeed, We have granted you a clear victory" [Surah al-Fath: 1]. At this someone said (in surprise): "O Messenger of Allah, is it really a victory?" He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "By the One in whose hand is my soul, it is indeed a victory."
This hadith is sahih (authentic) on the condition of Imam Muslim, but the two Shaykhs (Bukhari and Muslim) did not record it.

(1) إسناده فيه لينٌ من أجل يعقوب والد مجمِّع، وقد سلف برقم (2626).
Grading: Its chain contains "softness" (weakness) because of Ya'qub (the father of Mujammi'). It has already appeared at no. (2626).
لكن يشهد لكون سورة الفتح نزلت بعد الحديبية حديث المسور بن مخرمة السابق.
Corroborating chains and supporting reports: However, the earlier hadith of al-Miswar bin Makhramah serves as a supporting report (shahid) that Surat al-Fath was revealed after al-Hudaybiyah.
وحديث عبد الله بن مسعود عند أحمد 6 / (3710)، والنسائي (8802). وإسناده حسن.
Corroborating chains and supporting reports: Also the hadith of Abd Allah bin Mas'ud found in Ahmad (6/ 3710) and al-Nasa'i (8802), and its chain is "hasan".
يَرسِمون؛ أي: يذهبون إليه سِراعًا.
Note / Clarification: "Yarsimun" means: they go to it quickly.
