It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Sa'id al-Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said concerning the saying of Allah Almighty: "with water like molten brass (muhl)" [Al-Kahf: 29]: "It will be like the dregs of oil; when it is brought near to him (to drink), the skin of his face will fall off (from its heat). And if a single bucket of 'ghislin' (the washings of the wounds of the people of Hell) were poured out in this world, it would make all the people of the world stink."
This hadith has a sahih (authentic) chain of narration, but the two Shaykhs (Bukhari and Muslim) did not record it.

Explanation & Benefits
Shaykh Adil Murshid et al.
Note / Clarification: The printed edition adds "haddathana abi", which is an interpolation (muqhamah) not found in any of our manuscripts, nor in "Ithaf al-Maharah" (5319). Al-Bayhaqi also narrated it in "al-Ba'th wa al-Nushur" (550) from the author (al-Hakim) with the same chain and text without mentioning this addition, so the editor of that book added it to the chain, perhaps misled by what is in the Indian edition of the "Mustadrak".
(36)﴾. Reference / Source: This alludes to verse (29) of Surah al-Kahf: ﴿وَإِنْ يَسْتَغِيثُوا يُغَاثُوا بِمَاءٍ كَالْمُهْلِ يَشْوِي الْوُجُوهَ﴾ (And if they call for relief, they will be relieved with water like molten metal, which scalds the faces), and "ghislin" is mentioned in verse (36) of Surah al-Haqqah: ﴿وَلَا طَعَامٌ إِلَّا مِنْ غِسْلِينٍ (36)﴾ (nor any food except from the discharge of wounds).
Grading: Its chain is "da'if" because of the weakness of the narration of Abu al-Samh (Darraj bin Sam'an) from Abu al-Haytham (Sulayman bin 'Amr al-'Utwari). Reference / Source: Ibn Hibban (7473) narrated its first part by way of Harmalah bin Yahya, from Ibn Wahb, with this same chain. Reference / Source: Al-Tirmidhi (2581, 2584, 3322) narrated it by way of Rishdin bin Sa'd, from 'Amr bin al-Harith, likewise - and in the second place he narrated both parts. Ahmad (17/11230/2, 18/11672) also narrated it in pieces by way of 'Abd Allah bin Lahi'ah, from Darraj Abu al-Samh, likewise. Reference / Source: Its second part will come later at number (8993) and the first at number (9001), both by way of Bahr bin Nasr al-Khawlani from Ibn Wahb. Details of the narration: In the author's narration that comes later, and in Ahmad and al-Tirmidhi, its wording is "dalwun min ghassaq".
