It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) that when Sayyiduna Ibrahim (peace be upon him) was thrown into the fire, his last words were: 'Hasbiyallahu wa ni'mal wakil' (Allah is sufficient for me, and He is the best Disposer of affairs). And your Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) also said similar words: "Those to whom the people said, 'Indeed, the people have gathered against you, so fear them.' But it increased them in faith, and they said: Allah is sufficient for us, and He is the best Disposer of affairs." [Surah Al Imran: 173]
This hadith is sahih (authentic) on the condition of the two Shaykhs (Bukhari and Muslim), and they did not record it.

Grading: The report is sahih, and this chain is da'if because of Ibn Abi Darim, the author's shaykh; but he is not alone in it, as he has been corroborated. Reference / Source: For al-Bukhari recorded it in his "Sahih" (4563) from Ahmad bin Yunus with this chain; Important point: so al-Hakim's including it as an addition (istidrak) is an oversight on his part. Reference / Source: Al-Nasa'i also recorded it (10364) and (11015) by way of Yahya bin Abi Bukayr, from Abu Bakr bin Ayyash, with the same chain. Corroborating chains and supporting reports: Abu Bakr bin Ayyash (who is saduq and hasan in hadith) was corroborated by Isra'il, from Abu Hasin (Uthman bin Asim), with al-Bukhari (4564), and there he confined it to the story of the saying of Ibrahim (peace be upon him).
