Mustadrak al-Hakim 3926 — Mention of the lowest and the highest

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) that whenever the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) recited this verse: "Is not that (Creator) able to give life to the dead?" [Al-Qiyamah: 40], he would say: "Bala" (Yes indeed, He is certainly able); and whenever he recited: "Is not Allah the most just of judges?" [Al-Tin: 8], he would say: "Bala" (Yes indeed, He certainly is).
This hadith has a sahih (authentic) chain of narration, but the two Shaykhs (Bukhari and Muslim) did not record it.

Hadith Grading
Explanation & Benefits
Shaykh Adil Murshid et al.
Grading: Its chain is "da'if jiddan"; Yazid bin 'Iyad is one of the matruk narrators, but he is not alone in it, as he has been corroborated. However, the "'illah" remains in Abu al-Yasa', who is a Bedouin, unknown, and no one other than Yazid bin 'Iyad named him.
Reference / Source: Ahmad (12/7391), Abu Dawud (887) and al-Tirmidhi (3347) narrated it by way of Sufyan bin 'Uyaynah, from Isma'il bin Umayyah, who said: I heard a desert Bedouin man saying: I heard Abu Hurayrah … and he mentioned it.
Grading: This chain is "layyin" (weak) because of the vagueness of the narrator who reports from Abu Hurayrah.
