It is narrated from Sayyiduna Uqbah bin Amir al-Juhani (may Allah be pleased with him) that he said: We were with the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) on a journey, and we used to take turns grazing the camels. When my turn came, I released my camels into the pasture and then came to the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), and he (peace and blessings be upon him) was delivering a sermon to the people. I heard him (peace and blessings be upon him) saying: "Any Muslim who performs ablution and performs it well (completely), then stands for his prayer and knows what he is saying (in the prayer) (that is, prays with attention and understanding), will finish (the prayer) in the same state as on the day his mother gave birth to him, with no sin remaining upon him." The narrator says: At that I could not control myself and cried out: "Wonderful, wonderful! How excellent!" Sayyiduna Umar (may Allah be pleased with him), who was beside me, said: "Are you amazed at this? Before you came, he (peace and blessings be upon him) said something even more excellent than this." I said: May my father and mother be ransomed for you, what is it? He told me that he (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Whoever performs ablution and performs it well (completely), then, on finishing his ablution, says: 'Ashhadu an la ilaha illallah wa ashhadu anna Muhammadan abduhu wa rasuluh' (I bear witness that there is no god but Allah, and I bear witness that Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) is His servant and Messenger), all eight gates of Paradise are opened for him, and he may enter through whichever of them he wishes." Then he (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "On the Day of Resurrection the people will be gathered on a single bare plain, where the sight of the beholder will take them all in and the voice of the caller will reach them all. Then a caller will call out three times: 'The people of the gathering will know today who is deserving of honour and nobility.' Then he will say: 'Where are those whose sides used to keep away from their beds (that is, those who prayed tahajjud)?' Then he will say: 'Where are those whom neither trade nor sale distracted from the remembrance of Allah [Surah al-Nur: 37]?' Then a caller will call out: 'The people of the gathering will know today who is deserving of honour and nobility.' Then he will say: 'Where are the hammadun, those who used to praise their Lord abundantly (in every state)?'"
This hadith is sahih (authentic), and it has several routes from Abu Ishaq, but the two Shaykhs (Bukhari and Muslim) did not record it. It was our duty to mention it in the Book of Ablution, but at that time we were unable to. Then, when I saw that Imam Ishaq al-Hanzali had recorded its routes under this saying of Allah, "Men whom neither trade nor sale distracts from the remembrance of Allah," I followed him.

Explanation & Benefits
Shaykh Adil Murshid et al.
Note / Clarification: In the manuscripts, "عن أبي الأحوص" is added here, and it is marked as correct in manuscript (S); this is an interpolated addition that is not correct here. And the Abu al-Ahwas from whom Uthman bin Abi Shaybah narrates is "Sallam bin Sulaym", who is known for narrating from Abu Ishaq al-Sabi'i directly, without an intermediary.
Grading: With this route and this wording its chain is "da'if", because there is "i'dal" (a break of two or more narrators) between Abd Allah bin Ata' and Uqbah; he did not meet Uqbah. Technical note / Defect ('illah): Imam Shu'bah (as al-Daraqutni mentioned in "al-'Ilal" 2/ 114) investigated this chain and explained its defect: he had heard it from Abu Ishaq (apparently) from Abd Allah bin Ata' from Uqbah, but when he met Abd Allah bin Ata', he told him that he heard it from Sa'd bin Ibrahim; Sa'd told him he heard it from Ziyad bin Mikhraq; and Ziyad told him he heard it from Shahr bin Hawshab. So because of the mention of Shahr bin Hawshab, this hadith became "corrupt" (weak) in Shu'bah's view. Important point: We say: this story of Shu'bah has been mentioned by several narrators in the books of narrator biographies (rijal) and elsewhere. Grading: But the first part of the hadith is established as "sahih" from Uqbah through other chains, and its takhrij has already appeared under hadith number (458); see it there. Reference / Source: This long hadith was recorded by al-Bayhaqi in "Shu'ab al-Iman" (2976) from Abu Abd Allah al-Hakim, with this chain. Reference / Source: Also, al-Khuldi recorded it in "al-Fawa'id" (112), Ibn al-Muqri' in "al-Mu'jam" (615, 616), and Qiwam al-Sunnah al-Asbahani in "al-Targhib wa al-Tarhib" (1597), through several routes from Abu Ishaq. Reference / Source: As for the first part, it was recorded by Abd al-Razzaq in "al-Musannaf" (142), al-Ruyani in "al-Musnad" (251), Ibn Adi in "al-Kamil" (4/ 36), Abu Nu'aym in "al-Hilyah" (7/ 148-149), al-Khatib in "al-Rihlah" (59) and "al-Kifayah" (p. 400), Ibn Abd al-Barr in "al-Tamhid" (1/ 48), and al-Bayhaqi in "al-Qira'ah Khalf al-Imam" (443), through various routes from Abu Ishaq. Reference / Source: And the story of "the remembrance (dhikr) after wudu'" from it was recorded by Ibn Majah (470) via Abu Bakr bin Ayyash from Abu Ishaq.
