It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) concerning this saying of Allah Almighty: "So he signalled to them that they should glorify (Allah) morning and evening" [Surah Maryam: 11]; he said: "He (Sayyiduna Zakariyya, peace be upon him) used to command them to pray morning and evening."
The chain of narration of this hadith is sahih (authentic), but the two Shaykhs (Bukhari and Muslim) did not record it.
