It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) concerning the saying of Allah, the Mighty and Majestic, "On the Day when Allah will not disgrace the Prophet and those who believed with him; their light will run before them and on their right; they will say: Our Lord, perfect for us our light" [Al-Tahrim: 8], that he said: "On the Day of Resurrection every monotheist (one who believes in the Oneness of Allah) will be given light, but the light of the hypocrite will be extinguished. The believer, seeing the light of the hypocrite being extinguished, will be afraid and will say: 'Our Lord, perfect for us our light.'"
This hadith has a sahih (authentic) chain, but the two Shaykhs (Bukhari and Muslim) did not record it.

Explanation & Benefits
Shaykh Adil Murshid et al.
Grading: Its chain is "weak" because of the weakness of Utbah bin Yaqzan, and al-Dhahabi declared him very weak in his "al-Talkhis". Abu Yahya al-Himmani is "Abd al-Hamid bin Abd al-Rahman". Reference / Source: Ibn Abi Hatim recorded it (as in "Tafsir Ibn Kathir" 1/84) from Muhammad bin Isma'il al-Ahmasi, from Abu Yahya al-Himmani, with this same chain. Reference / Source: A similar statement is reported from al-Hasan al-Basri in al-Tabari's Tafsir (28/169), and its chain up to him is "hasan".
