أخبرنا أبو بكر محمد بن عبد الله الشافعي، حدثنا إسحاق بن الحسن، حدثنا أبو حُذَيفة، حدثنا سفيان، عن سِمَاك بن حَرْب، عن النُّعمان بن بَشِير، عن عمر بن الخطاب ﴿تُوبُوا إِلَى اللَّهِ تَوْبَةً نَصُوحًا﴾ [التحريم: 8]، قال: أن يُذنبَ العبدُ ثم يتوبَ فلا يعودَ فيه (3). صحيح الإسناد، ولم يُخرجاه. It is narrated from Sayyiduna Umar bin al-Khattab (may Allah be pleased with him) concerning the saying of Allah Almighty, "Turn to Allah in sincere repentance" [Al-Tahrim: 8], that he said: "(Sincere repentance is) that a servant commits a sin, then repents and does not return to that sin again."
This hadith has a sahih (authentic) chain, but the two Shaykhs (Bukhari and Muslim) did not record it.

حدثني علي بن عيسى الحِيرِي، حدثنا إبراهيم بن أبي طالب، حدثنا ابن أبي عمر، حدثنا سفيان، عن عمر بن سعيد، عن أبيه، عن عَبَاية الأسَدي قال: قال عبد الله بن مسعود: التوبةُ النَّصُوحُ تكفِّر كل سيِّئة، وهو في القرآن؛ ثم قرأ: ﴿يَاأَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا تُوبُوا إِلَى اللَّهِ تَوْبَةً نَصُوحًا عَسَى رَبُّكُمْ أَنْ يُكَفِّرَ عَنْكُمْ سَيِّئَاتِكُمْ﴾ الآية (1). هذا حديث صحيح على شرط الشيخين، ولم يُخرجاه.
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) said: "Sincere repentance wipes out every sin, and this is in the Qur'an." Then he recited this verse: "O you who believe, turn to Allah in sincere repentance; perhaps your Lord will remove from you your misdeeds." [Al-Tahrim: 8]
This hadith is sahih (authentic) on the condition of the two Shaykhs (Bukhari and Muslim), but they did not record it.

حدثنا أبو العبَّاس محمد بن يعقوب، حدثنا العبَّاس بن محمد بن محمد الدُّوري، حدثنا أبو يحيى الحِمَّاني، حدثنا عُتْبة بن يَقْظانَ، عن عِكْرمة، عن ابن عبَّاس في قول الله ﷿: ﴿يَوْمَ لَا يُخْزِي اللَّهُ النَّبِيَّ وَالَّذِينَ آمَنُوا مَعَهُ نُورُهُمْ يَسْعَى بَيْنَ أَيْدِيهِمْ وَبِأَيْمَانِهِمْ يَقُولُونَ رَبَّنَا أَتْمِمْ لَنَا نُورَنَا﴾ [التحريم: 8] قال: ليس أحدٌ من الموحِّدين إلَّا يُعطَى نورًا يومَ القيامة، فأما المنافق فيُطفَأ نورُه، والمؤمن مشفقٌ ممّا رأَى من إطفاءِ نور المنافق، فهو يقول: ربَّنا أَتمِمْ لنا نورَنا (1). هذا حديث صحيح الإسناد، ولم يُخرجاه. It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) concerning the saying of Allah, the Mighty and Majestic, "On the Day when Allah will not disgrace the Prophet and those who believed with him; their light will run before them and on their right; they will say: Our Lord, perfect for us our light" [Al-Tahrim: 8], that he said: "On the Day of Resurrection every monotheist (one who believes in the Oneness of Allah) will be given light, but the light of the hypocrite will be extinguished. The believer, seeing the light of the hypocrite being extinguished, will be afraid and will say: 'Our Lord, perfect for us our light.'"

أخبرنا أبو بكر محمد بن عبد الله الشافعي، حدثنا إسحاق بن الحسن، حدثنا أبو حُذَيفة: سفيانُ، عن موسى بن أبي عائشة، عن سليمان بن قَتَّة، عن ابن عبَّاس ﴿فَخَانَتَاهُمَا﴾ [التحريم: 10]، قال: ما زَنَتا، أما امرأةُ نوحٍ فكانت تقول للناس (2): إنه مجنون، وأما امرأةُ لوطٍ فكانت تدلُّ على الضَّيف، فذلك خِيانتُهما (3). هذا حديث صحيح الإسناد، ولم يُخرجاه. Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) said concerning the saying of Allah, "but they betrayed them" [Al-Tahrim: 10]: "The two of them (the wives of Nuh and Lut, peace be upon them both) did not commit adultery. Rather, the wife of Nuh (peace be upon him) used to tell people that he was insane, and the wife of Lut (peace be upon him) used to point (the disbelievers) to the guests. That was their betrayal."

حدثنا أبو عبد الله محمد بن يعقوب الشَّيباني، حدثنا إبراهيم بن عبد الله، حدثنا يزيد بن هارون، أخبرنا سليمان التَّيْمي، عن أبي عثمان، عن سلمان قال: كانت امرأةُ فِرْعون تُعذَّب بالشمس، فإذا انصرفوا عنها أظلَّتها الملائكةُ بأجنحتها، وكانت ترى بيتَها في الجنة (1). هذا حديث صحيح على شرط الشيخين، ولم يُخرجاه. It is narrated from Sayyiduna Salman al-Farisi (may Allah be pleased with him) that the wife of Pharaoh (Sayyidah Asiyah, may Allah be pleased with her) used to be tortured in the heat of the sun. When those torturing her left, the angels would shade her with their wings, and she would see her house in Paradise.
