أَعْمَارُ أُمَّتِي مَا بَيْنَ السِّتِّينَ إِلَى السَّبْعِينَ

Mustadrak al-Hakim — Hadith 3642

أخبرَناه أبو عبد الله محمد بن علي (3) الصَّنعاني بمكة، حدثنا إسحاق بن إبراهيم، أخبرنا عبد الرزاق، أخبرنا مَعمَر، عن شيخ من غِفَار، عن سعيد المَقبُري، عن أبي هريرة، عن النبي ﷺ قال: "لقد أَعذَرَ اللهُ إلى عبدٍ أحْياهُ حتَّى بَلَغَ ستينَ أو سبعينَ سنةً، لقد أَعذَرَ اللهُ إليه" (4).

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Allah Almighty has completed the excuse for a servant whom He kept alive until he reached the age of sixty or seventy years; indeed, Allah has ended every excuse for him."

Note / Clarification: In manuscript (Z) this is distorted into "Muhammad bin Abd Allah".
(4) إسناده صحيح، والشيخ الغفاري الذي لم يُسمَّ هنا هو معن بن محمد الغفاري، كما جاء مصرَّحًا به في رواية البخاري وغيره. إسحاق بن إبراهيم: هو الدَّبَري.
Grading: Its chain is "sahih". The shaykh al-Ghifari who is not named here is "Ma'n bin Muhammad al-Ghifari", as stated explicitly in the narration of al-Bukhari and others.
Note / Clarification: Ishaq bin Ibrahim is al-Dabari.
وأخرجه أحمد (13/ 7713) عن عبد الرزاق، بهذا الإسناد.
Reference / Source: It was recorded by Ahmad (13/ 7713) from Abd al-Razzaq, with this chain.
وأخرجه البخاري (6419) من طريق عمر بن علي المقدَّمي، عن معن بن محمد الغفاري، عن سعيد المقبري، به.
Reference / Source: It was recorded by al-Bukhari (6419) via Umar bin Ali al-Muqaddami, from Ma'n bin Muhammad al-Ghifari, from Sa'id al-Maqburi, in the same way.
Note / Clarification: In manuscript (Z) this is distorted into "Muhammad bin Abd Allah".
(4) إسناده صحيح، والشيخ الغفاري الذي لم يُسمَّ هنا هو معن بن محمد الغفاري، كما جاء مصرَّحًا به في رواية البخاري وغيره. إسحاق بن إبراهيم: هو الدَّبَري.
