حدثنا أبو العبَّاس محمد بن يعقوب، حدثنا الحسن بن علي بن عفَّان العامري، حدثنا يحيى بن فَصِيل (2)، حدثنا الحسن بن صالح، عن سِمَاك بن حَرْب، عن عِكْرمة، عن ابن عبَّاس قال: إنما أُحِلَّت ذبائحُ اليهود والنصارى من أجل أنهم آمنوا بالتَّوراة والإنجيل (3).
هذا حديث صحيح الإسناد، ولم يُخرجاه.

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the slaughtered animals of the Jews and Christians have been made lawful only because they believed in the Torah and the Injil (Gospel).
This hadith has an authentic (sahih) chain of narration, but the two Shaykhs (Bukhari and Muslim) did not record it.

(2) تصحف في النسخ الخطية إلى: فضيل، وقد سلف الكلام عليه عند الحديث (347).
Note / Clarification: In the manuscripts it has been miswritten as "فضيل", and it has already been discussed at hadith (347).
(3) إسناده حسن إن شاء الله.
Grading: Its chain is hasan, if Allah wills.
وأخرجه البيهقي 9/ 282 عن أبي عبد الله الحاكم وآخر معه، بهذا الإسناد.
Reference / Source: Al-Bayhaqi recorded it (9/ 282) from Abu Abd Allah al-Hakim and another person with him, with this chain.
وأخرجه إبراهيم بن طهمان في "مشيخته" (13) عن سماك بن حرب، به.
Reference / Source: Ibrahim bin Tahman recorded it in his "Mashyakhah" (13) from Simak bin Harb, with the same chain.
وأخرجه الطبراني في "الكبير" (11779) من طريق إسماعيل بن عمرو البجلي، عن سماك، به.
Reference / Source: Al-Tabarani recorded it in "al-Kabir" (11779) by way of Isma'il bin Amr al-Bajali, from Simak, with the same chain.
وإسماعيل فيه ضعف لكنه متابع.
Technical note / Defect ('illah): Isma'il has some weakness, but he has been corroborated.
