It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Sa'id al-Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "My two ministers from among the inhabitants of the heaven are Jibril and Mika'il, and my two ministers from among the inhabitants of the earth are Abu Bakr and Umar."
This hadith has a sahih (authentic) chain, but the two Shaykhs (Imam Bukhari and Muslim) did not record it. This hadith is known through Sawwar bin Mus'ab, from Atiyyah al-Awfi, from Abu Sa'id, whereas that (chain) is not on the condition of this book.
