It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Amr (may Allah be pleased with them both) that he said that the House of Allah (the Ka'bah) existed two thousand years before the creation of the earth; and concerning "And when the earth is stretched out" [Surah al-Inshiqaq: 3] he said that the earth was spread out and extended from beneath it (the House of Allah).
This hadith has a sahih (authentic) chain of narration, but the two Shaykhs (Bukhari and Muslim) did not record it.

Grading: This report is "sahih" from Abdullah bin Amr or from Mujahid, but in this chain it is "da'if" (weak) because of Abu Yahya (al-Qattat); however, he has been corroborated in it from Mujahid. Reference / Source: It was narrated by al-Bayhaqi in "Dala'il al-Nubuwwah" (2/44) from Abu Abdullah al-Hakim, with this chain. Technical note / Defect ('illah): Al-Hafiz Ibn Kathir cited it in "al-Bidayah wa al-Nihayah" (3/476) from al-Bayhaqi with this chain and then said: "This is extremely gharib, and it seems to be from the two camel-loads (al-zamilatayn) of books that Abdullah bin Amr obtained on the day of Yarmuk, which contained Isra'iliyyat (reports from the People of the Book) that he used to narrate from; in them are munkar and strange reports." Reference / Source: It was narrated in similar form by al-Tabari in his Tafsir (4/8, 30/45) and his Tarikh (1/49), Ibn al-Mundhir in his Tafsir (712), al-Tabarani in "al-Mu'jam al-Kabir" (14153, 14155), and al-Bayhaqi in "Shu'ab al-Iman" (3697) through various routes from Mujahid, from Abdullah bin Amr. (1503). Reference / Source: A group narrated it from Mujahid as his own saying, without mentioning Abdullah bin Amr in it. It was narrated by Abd al-Razzaq in "al-Musannaf" (9097), al-Azraqi in "Akhbar Makkah" (1/31-32 and 32), al-Tabari in his Tafsir (4/8), and al-Fakihi in "Akhbar Makkah" (1503).
