It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) that Tubba' (the king of Yemen) set out intending (to attack) the Ka'bah, until, when he reached the place called Kura' al-Ghamim, Allah Almighty sent against him such a violent wind that standing became difficult; whoever stood up would fall, and they faced severe distress. Tubba' summoned his two learned scholars (ahbar) and asked: "What is this wind that has been sent against me?" They said: "Do you grant us safety?" He said: "You are safe." They said: "You are intending a House which Allah Himself defends." Tubba' asked: "Then how will this affliction be removed from me?" They said: "Take off (your stitched clothes) and wear only two sheets, then say: 'Labbayk, labbayk (Here I am, here I am),' then enter (Makkah) and circumambulate that House, and do not disturb any of its inhabitants at all." Tubba' said: "If I firmly resolve to do this, will this wind leave me?" They said: "Yes." So he put on the two sheets of ihram and called out the Talbiyah. Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) said: After that, the wind withdrew like pieces of a dark night.
This hadith is sahih (authentic) on the condition of the two Shaykhs (Bukhari and Muslim), but they did not record it.

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) that when Ibrahim (peace be upon him) finished building the House of Allah, he said: "O my Lord, I have finished." Allah said: "Proclaim the Hajj among the people." He said: "O my Lord, how will my voice reach (everyone)?" Allah said: "You proclaim, and conveying it is My responsibility." He asked: "O my Lord, what shall I say?" Allah said: (Say:) "O people, Hajj has been prescribed for you, the Hajj of the Ancient House." So everything between the heavens and the earth heard this call. Do you not see that people come from the farthest corners of the earth, calling out the Talbiyah?
The chain of narration of this hadith is sahih (authentic), but the two Shaykhs (Bukhari and Muslim) did not record it.
