أخبرنا أبو زكريا العَنبَري، حدثنا محمد بن عبد السلام، حدثنا إسحاق ابن إبراهيم، أخبرنا جَرِير، عن عطاء بن السائب، عن سعيد بن جُبير، عن ابن عبَّاس في قوله ﷿: ﴿وَاخْتَارَ مُوسَى قَوْمَهُ سَبْعِينَ رَجُلًا لِمِيقَاتِنَا﴾ [الأعراف: 155]، قال: دعا موسى فبَعَثَ الله سبعين، فجعل دعاءَه حين دعاه لمن آمن بمحمدٍ ﷺ واتَّبَعه قولَه: ﴿فَاغْفِرْ لَنَا وَارْحَمْنَا وَأَنْتَ خَيْرُ الْغَافِرِينَ .. فَسَأَكْتُبُهَا لِلَّذِينَ يَتَّقُونَ وَيُؤْتُونَ الزَّكَاةَ﴾ [الأعراف: 155 - 156]، والذين يتَّبعون محمدًا ﷺ (2).
هذا حديث صحيح الإسناد، ولم يُخرجاه. حدثنا الحاكم أبو عبد الله محمد بن عبد الله الحافظ إملاءً في ذي الحِجّة سنة تسع وتسعين وثلاث مئة:

هذا حديث صحيح الإسناد، ولم يُخرجاه. حدثنا الحاكم أبو عبد الله محمد بن عبد الله الحافظ إملاءً في ذي الحِجّة سنة تسع وتسعين وثلاث مئة:

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) concerning this saying of Allah, the Mighty and Majestic: "And Musa chose from his people seventy men for Our appointment" [Surah al-A'raf: 155], that he said: Sayyiduna Musa (peace be upon him) supplicated and Allah sent seventy men. Then he made his supplication specific to those who would believe in Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) and follow him. (Then Allah said:) "So forgive us and have mercy on us, and You are the best of those who forgive. (He said:) So I will ordain it (My mercy) for those who are mindful of Me and give zakah" [Surah al-A'raf: 155 - 156], and those who follow Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him).
The chain of this hadith is sahih (authentic), and the two Shaykhs did not record it.

(2) رجاله عن آخرهم ثقات، إلّا أنَّ عطاء بن السائب كان قد اختلط وسماع جرير منه -وهو ابن عبد الحميد- بعد الاختلاط، لكن تابعه عن عطاء على بعض هذا الخبر -وهو آخره- عمران ابن عيينة وحماد بن سلمة عند الطبري في "تفسيره" 9/ 82، وحماد ممّن سمع من عطاء قبل الاختلاط.
Grading: All of its narrators are thiqah (trustworthy).
Technical note / Defect ('illah): Except that Ata' bin al-Sa'ib had become confused in his memory (ikhtilat), and Jarir (Ibn Abd al-Hamid) heard from him after the confusion. However, Imran bin Uyaynah and Hammad bin Salamah corroborated him in narrating part of this report (namely its last part) from Ata', in al-Tabari's "Tafsir" (9/ 82), and Hammad is among those who heard from Ata' before the confusion.
