خَلَقَ اللَّهُ آدَمَ مِنْ أَدِيمِ الْأَرْضِ كُلِّهَا فَخَرَجَتْ ذُرِّيَّتُهُ عَلَى حَسْبِ ذَلِكَ

Allah created Adam (peace be upon him) from soil taken from all over the earth, so his descendants came out accordingly

أخبرنا محمد بن محمد بن علي الصَّنعاني، بمكة، حدثنا إسحاق بن إبراهيم، أخبرنا عبد الرزاق، أخبرنا مَعمَر، أخبرني عوف العَبْدي، عن قَسَامة بن زهير، عن أبي موسى الأشعري، عن النبي ﷺ قال: "خلق اللهُ آدمَ من أَدِيم الأرض كلِّها، فخرجت ذُرِّيتُه على حَسَبِ ذلك، منهم الأبيضُ والأسودُ، والأسمرُ والأحمرُ، ومنهم بينَ ذلك، ومنهم السهلُ، والخبيثُ والطيِّب" (4).
هذا حديث صحيح الإسناد، ولم يُخرجاه.

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Musa al-Ash'ari (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Allah Almighty created Sayyiduna Adam (peace be upon him) from the surface of the whole earth, so his offspring came forth in the same proportion: among them some are white and some are black, some are wheat-coloured and some are red, and some are of colours in between. Likewise, among them some are gentle-natured, some are bad and some are pure-natured."
This hadith has a sahih (authentic) chain, but the two Shaykhs (Bukhari and Muslim) did not record it.

Hadith 3075

أخبرنا الحسن بن يعقوب العَدْل، حدثنا يحيى بن أبي طالب، حدثنا عبد الوهّاب بن عطاء، أخبرنا سعيد بن أبي عَرُوبة عن قَتَادة، عن الحسن، عن عُتَيّ بن ضَمْرة، عن أُبيِّ بن كعب، عن النبي ﷺ قال: "إِنَّ آدمَ كان رجلًا طُوَالًا كأنه نخلةٌ سَحُوقٌ، كثيرُ شعر الرأس، فلما رَكِبَ الخطيئةَ بَدَتْ له عورتُه، وكان لا يراها قبلَ ذلك، فانطلق هاربًا في الجنة، فتعلَّقَت به شجرهٌ، فقال لها: أرسِليني، قالت لستُ بمُرسِلَتِك، قال وناداه ربُّه: يا آدمُ، أمِنِّي تَفِرُّ؟ قال: يا ربِّ، إني استَحْيِيكَ" (1).
هذا حديث صحيح الإسناد، ولم يُخرجاه.

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ubayy bin Ka'b (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Indeed, Sayyiduna Adam (peace be upon him) was a tall man, as though he were a lofty palm tree, with very thick hair on his head. Then when the slip occurred from him, his private parts became visible to him, whereas before that he had not seen them. So he began to run through Paradise and got caught in a tree. He said to it: 'Let me go.' It said: 'I will not let you go.' Then his Lord called out to him: 'O Adam! Are you running away from Me?' He said: 'O my Lord! Indeed, I feel shy before You.'"
This hadith has a sahih (authentic) chain, but the two Shaykhs (Bukhari and Muslim) did not record it.
