خَلَقَ اللَّهُ آدَمَ مِنْ أَدِيمِ الْأَرْضِ كُلِّهَا فَخَرَجَتْ ذُرِّيَّتُهُ عَلَى حَسْبِ ذَلِكَ
Allah created Adam (peace be upon him) from soil taken from all over the earth, so his descendants came out accordingly

أخبرنا محمد بن محمد بن علي الصَّنعاني، بمكة، حدثنا إسحاق بن إبراهيم، أخبرنا عبد الرزاق، أخبرنا مَعمَر، أخبرني عوف العَبْدي، عن قَسَامة بن زهير، عن أبي موسى الأشعري، عن النبي ﷺ قال: "خلق اللهُ آدمَ من أَدِيم الأرض كلِّها، فخرجت ذُرِّيتُه على حَسَبِ ذلك، منهم الأبيضُ والأسودُ، والأسمرُ والأحمرُ، ومنهم بينَ ذلك، ومنهم السهلُ، والخبيثُ والطيِّب" (4).
هذا حديث صحيح الإسناد، ولم يُخرجاه.

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Musa al-Ash'ari (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Allah Almighty created Sayyiduna Adam (peace be upon him) from the surface of the whole earth, so his offspring came forth in the same proportion: among them some are white and some are black, some are wheat-coloured and some are red, and some are of colours in between. Likewise, among them some are gentle-natured, some are bad and some are pure-natured."
This hadith has a sahih (authentic) chain, but the two Shaykhs (Bukhari and Muslim) did not record it.

(4) إسناده صحيح. عوف العبدي: هو ابن أبي جميلة الأعرابي. وأخرجه أحمد 32/ (19582) و (19583)، وأبو داود (4693)، والترمذي (2955)، وابن حبان (6160) و (6181) من طرق عن عوف، بهذا الإسناد.
Grading: Its chain is sahih.
Technical note / Defect ('illah): 'Awf al-'Abdi is Ibn Abi Jamilah al-A'rabi.
Reference / Source: Ahmad 32/(19582) and (19583), Abu Dawud (4693), al-Tirmidhi (2955) and Ibn Hibban (6160) and (6181) recorded it by various routes from 'Awf, with this chain.
