It is narrated from Abu Hassan al-A'raj (may Allah have mercy on him) that the Mother of the Believers, Sayyidah Aishah (may Allah be pleased with her), said that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) used to say: "The people of the Days of Ignorance used to say that ill omen is (only) in a woman, an animal and a house." Then she recited this verse: "No calamity befalls on the earth or in yourselves except that it is in a Book before We bring it into being. Indeed, that is easy for Allah" [Surah al-Hadid: 22].
This hadith has a sahih (authentic) chain of narration, but the two Shaykhs did not record it.

Explanation & Benefits
Shaykh Adil Murshid et al.
Grading: Its chain is qawi (strong). General principle: 'Abd al-Wahhab bin 'Ata' heard (hadith) from Sa'id bin Abi 'Arubah before his ikhtilat (deterioration of memory), so this narration is reliable. Reference / Source: Imam Ahmad narrated it likewise in 43/ (26088) with the chain of Rawh bin 'Ubadah from Sa'id bin Abi 'Arubah. Reference / Source: Imam Ahmad also narrated something of similar meaning in 42/ (25168) and 43/ (26034) by way of Hammam bin Yahya from Qatadah.
