أخبرني أبو إسحاق إبراهيم بن محمد الزاهد الحِيرِيّ، حدثنا محمد بن إسحاق الصَّنعاني - صنعاءُ اليمن - حدثنا محمد بن جُعشُم الصَّنعاني، حدثنا سفيان الثَّوْري، عن سِمَاك بن حَرْب، عن سعيد بن جُبير، عن ابن عبَّاس قال: رُؤْيا الأنبياءِ وحيٌ (2).
هذا حديث صحيح على شرط الشيخين، ولم يُخرجاه.

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) that he said: "The dreams of the prophets are revelation."
This hadith is sahih (authentic) on the condition of the two Shaykhs (Bukhari and Muslim), but they did not record it.

(2) إسناده حسن. محمد بن إسحاق الصنعاني وشيخه سلف التعريف بهما عند الحديث رقم (651).
Grading: Its chain is "hasan". Muhammad bin Ishaq al-San'ani and his shaykh were introduced earlier at (651).
وأخرجه ابن أبي عاصم في "السنة" (463)، والطبري في "تفسيره" 12/ 151، وكذا ابن أبي حاتم 7/ 2101، والطبراني (12302) من طرق عن سفيان الثوري، بهذا الإسناد.
Reference / Source: It was recorded by Ibn Abi Asim (al-Sunnah 463), al-Tabari (12/ 151), Ibn Abi Hatim (7/ 2101) and al-Tabarani (12302) through several routes via Sufyan al-Thawri, with this chain.
وسيأتي عند المصنف برقم (8397) من طريق قبيصة بن عقبة عن سفيان.
Note / Clarification: It will come later with the author (al-Hakim) at (8397) via Qabisah bin Uqbah from Sufyan.
وروى مثله عن عبيد بن عمير - أحد التابعين - من قوله، أخرجه البخاري (138).
