تَوْضِيحُ مَعْنَى آيَةِ إِلَّا الْمَوَدَّةَ فِي الْقُرْبَى 3712 - فَحَدَّثَنَاهُ أَبُو الْعَبَّاسِ أَحْمَدُ بْنُ هَارُونَ الْفَقِيهُ ، ثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ ، ثَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ عَوْنٍ ، ثَنَا هُشَيْمٌ ، أَنْبَأَ دَاوُدُ ، عَنِ الشَّعْبِيِّ قَالَ : أَكْثَرَ النَّاسُ عَلَيْنَا فِي هَذِهِ الْآيَةِ : قُلْ لَا أَسْأَلُكُمْ عَلَيْهِ أَجْرًا إِلَّا الْمَوَدَّةَ فِي الْقُرْبَى فَكَتَبْنَا إِلَى ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ نَسْأَلُهُ عَنْ ذَلِكَ فَكَتَبَ ابْنُ عَبَّاسٍ : إِنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَانَ أَوْسَطَ بَيْتٍ فِي قُرَيْشٍ لَيْسَ بَطْنٌ مِنْ بُطُونِهِمْ إِلَّا قَدْ وَلَدَهُ " فَقَالَ اللَّهُ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ : قُلْ لَا أَسْأَلُكُمْ عَلَيْهِ أَجْرًا إِلَى مَا أَدْعُوكُمْ إِلَيْهِ إِلَّا أَنْ تَوَدُّونِي بِقَرَابَتِي مِنْكُمْ وَتَحْفَظُونِي بِهَا . قَالَ هُشَيْمٌ : وَأَخْبَرَنِي حُصَيْنٌ عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُمَا بِنَحْوٍ مِنْ ذَلِكَ . " هَذَا حَدِيثٌ وَلَمْ يُخْرِجَاهُ بِهَذِهِ الزِّيَادَةِ ، وَهُوَ صَحِيحٌ عَلَى شَرْطِهِمَا " ، " فَإِنَّ حَدِيثَ عِكْرِمَةَ صَحِيحٌ عَلَى شَرْطِ الْبُخَارِيِّ وَحَدِيثُ دَاوُدَ بْنِ أَبِي هِنْدَ صَحِيحٌ عَلَى شَرْطِ مُسْلِمٍ .

فحدَّثَناه أبو العبَّاس أحمد بن هارون الفقيه، حَدَّثَنَا علي بن عبد العزيز، حَدَّثَنَا عمرو بن عَوْن، حَدَّثَنَا هُشَيم، أخبرنا داود، عن الشَّعْبي، قال: أكثَرَ الناسُ علينا في هذه الآية: ﴿قُلْ لَا أَسْأَلُكُمْ عَلَيْهِ أَجْرًا إِلَّا الْمَوَدَّةَ فِي الْقُرْبَى﴾ [الشورى: 23]، فكَتبْنا إلى ابن عبَّاس نسألُه عن ذلك، فكتب ابن عبَّاس: إنَّ رسول الله ﷺ كان أوسطَ البيت (3) في قريش، ليس بطنٌ من بطونهم إلَّا قد وَلَدَه، فقال الله ﷿: ﴿قُل لا أَسْئَلُكُمْ عَلَيْهِ أَجْرًا إِلَّا﴾ ما أدعُوكم إليه إلَّا أن تَودُّوني بقَرَابتي منكم وتَحفَظوني بها (1). قال هُشَيم: وأخبرني حُصَين، عن عِكْرمة، عن ابن عبَّاس بنحوٍ من ذلك (2).
هذا حديث لم يُخرجاه بهذه الزِّيادة، وهو صحيحٌ على شرطهما، فإنَّ حديث عِكْرمة صحيح على شرط البخاري، وحديث داود بن أبي هند صحيح على شرط مسلم.

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) concerning this saying of Allah Almighty: "Say: I do not ask you for any reward for it except affection through kinship" [Surah al-Shura: 23]. Imam al-Sha'bi says: People asked us many questions about this verse, so we wrote to Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) to enquire about it. He wrote in reply: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) had kinship with all the households of Quraysh, and there was no clan with which he (peace and blessings be upon him) did not have a tie of lineage. So Allah Almighty said: "(O Prophet!) Say: I do not ask you for any reward for this (call to the religion), except that you love me out of regard for my kinship with you and preserve it."
This hadith is sahih (authentic) on the condition of both of them (Imam Bukhari and Muslim), but they did not record it with this addition, because the hadith of Ikrimah is sahih on the condition of Bukhari, and the hadith of Dawud bin Abi Hind is sahih on the condition of Muslim.

حدثني علي بن عيسى الحِيرِي، حَدَّثَنَا مُسدَّد بن قَطَن، حَدَّثَنَا عثمان بن أبي شَيْبة، حَدَّثَنَا جرير وعبد الله بن إدريس، عن الأعمش، عن شَقِيق بن سَلَمة، عن سَلَمة بن سَبْرة قال: خَطَبَنا معاذُ بن جَبَل فقال: أنتم المؤمنون وأنتم أهلُ الجنة، والله إني لأطمعُ أن يكون عامَّةُ مَن تُصِيبون بفارسَ والرُّومِ في الجنة، فإنَّ أحدَهم يعمل الخيرَ فتقول: أحسنتَ بارك الله فيك، أحسنتَ رَحِمَك الله، واللهُ يقول: ﴿وَيَسْتَجِيبُ الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا وَعَمِلُوا الصَّالِحَاتِ وَيَزِيدُهُم مَّن فَضْلِهِ﴾ [الشورى: 26] (3).

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Mu'adh bin Jabal (may Allah be pleased with him). Salamah bin Sabrah says that Mu'adh bin Jabal (may Allah be pleased with him) addressed us in a sermon and said: "You are the believers and you are the people of Paradise. By Allah! I hope that most of the people of the lands of Persia and Rome over which you are prevailing will also enter Paradise, because when one of them does a good deed, you say to him: 'You have done very well, may Allah bless you; you have done very well, may Allah have mercy on you.' And Allah Almighty says: 'And He responds to those who believe and do righteous deeds, and gives them more out of His bounty.' [Surah al-Shura: 26]"
