مَنْ جَعَلَ الْهُمُومَ هَمًّا وَاحِدًا كَفَاهُ اللَّهُ هَمَّ دُنْيَاهُ
Whoever makes all his concerns a single concern, Allah will suffice him for the concerns of his world

حَدَّثَنَا أبو بكر بن إسحاق الفقيه، أخبرنا محمد بن غالب، حَدَّثَنَا سعيد بن سليمان الواسطي، حَدَّثَنَا أبو عَقِيل يحيى بن المتوكِّل، عن عمر بن محمد بن زيد، عن نافع، عن ابن عمر قال: قال رسول الله ﷺ: "مَن جعل الهمَّ همًّا واحدًا، كَفَاه الله همَّ دُنياه، ومَن تَشعَّبَتْه (1) الهمومُ، لم يُبالِ اللهُ في أيِّ أوديةِ الدنيا هَلَكَ" (2).
هذا حديث صحيح الإسناد، ولم يُخرجاه.

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Whoever makes all his concerns a single concern (the Hereafter), Allah will suffice him against the concerns of his world. And whoever has his concerns scattered among the branches of this world, Allah will not care in which of the valleys of this world he perishes."
This hadith is sahih (authentic) in its chain of narration, and the two Shaykhs (Bukhari and Muslim) did not record it.

حدثني علي بن حَمْشَاذَ العَدْل، حَدَّثَنَا محمد بن شاذانَ الجَوهَري، حَدَّثَنَا الحسن بن موسى الأشيَب، حَدَّثَنَا قَزَعةُ بن سُوَيد الباهلي، حَدَّثَنَا ابن أبي نَجِيح، عن مجاهد، عن ابن عبّاس، أنَّ رسول الله ﷺ قال: "لا أسألُكم على ما أَتيتُكم من البيِّنات والهُدى أجرًا، إلَّا أن تُوادُّوا الله، وأن تَقرَّبوا إليه بطاعتِه" (1).
هذا حديث صحيح الإسناد، ولم يُخرجاه. إنما اتَّفقا في تفسير هذه الآية على حديث عبد الملك بن مَيسَرة الزَّرّاد، عن طاووس، عن ابن عبَّاس: أنه في قُربَى آل محمدٍ ﷺ (2).

This hadith is sahih (authentic) in its chain of narration, and the two Shaykhs (Bukhari and Muslim) did not record it. However, in the explanation of this verse, the two Shaykhs agreed upon the hadith of Abd al-Malik bin Maysarah al-Zarrad, via Tawus, from Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both), that what is meant by it is the kinship of the family of Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him). [Surah al-Shura: 23]
