It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Whoever makes all his concerns a single concern (the Hereafter), Allah will suffice him against the concerns of his world. And whoever has his concerns scattered among the branches of this world, Allah will not care in which of the valleys of this world he perishes."
This hadith is sahih (authentic) in its chain of narration, and the two Shaykhs (Bukhari and Muslim) did not record it.

Explanation & Benefits
Shaykh Adil Murshid et al.
Note / Clarification: In manuscript (Z) this is distorted into "تشبعته"; the correct reading is "تشعبته" (with the 'ayn before the ba'), as in manuscript ('A), and it is the same in al-Bayhaqi's narration from the author (al-Hakim). In manuscript (S) it is "تشاعبت به", and in manuscript (B) "شعبته".
Grading: The hadith is sahih, but this chain is "da'if" because of the weakness of "Abu Aqil". Corroborating chains and supporting reports: However, he is not alone in it: Asim bin Muhammad (the brother of Umar), who is "thiqah", corroborated him (as will come). Reference / Source: It was recorded by al-Bayhaqi in "Shu'ab al-Iman" (9857) and "al-Adab" (981) from Abu Abd Allah al-Hakim, with this chain. Note / Clarification: It will come later at (8132) via Salih bin Muhammad al-Hafiz from Sa'id bin Sulayman. Reference / Source: It was recorded by al-Bayhaqi (al-Zuhd 16) and al-Shajari (2/ 188) via Muhammad bin Ghalib (Tamtam), from Ghassan bin al-Rabi', from Abu Aqil Yahya bin al-Mutawakkil, and he joined "Abd Allah bin Dinar" with Nafi'. Reference / Source: It was recorded by Ibn Abi Asim in "al-Zuhd" (166) from al-Hasan bin Ali al-Hulwani, from Yazid bin Harun, from Asim bin Muhammad bin Zayd, from his brother Umar bin Muhammad, from Abd Allah bin Dinar or Nafi' (with doubt), from Ibn Umar, from the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). Grading: This chain is "sahih". Abd Allah bin Dinar and Nafi' are both thiqah, so the doubt makes no difference. Corroborating chains and supporting reports: On this topic there is the hadith of Ibn Mas'ud (Ibn Majah 257), whose chain is "talif" (ruined). And its meaning is narrated in the hadith of Zayd bin Thabit (Ahmad 35/ 21590, Ibn Majah 4105), whose chain is "sahih".
