حَدَّثَنَا أبو أحمد بكر بن محمد الصَّيرَفي، حَدَّثَنَا أحمد بن عبيد الله النَّرْسي، حَدَّثَنَا أبو أحمد الزُّبَيري، حَدَّثَنَا عمران بن زائدة بن نَشِيط، عن أبيه، عن أبي خالد الوالِبيّ، عن أبي هريرة قال: تلا رسولُ الله ﷺ: ﴿مَنْ كَانَ يُرِيدُ حَرْثَ الْآخِرَةِ نَزِدْ لَهُ فِي حَرْثِهِ وَمَنْ كَانَ يُرِيدُ حَرْثَ الدُّنْيَا نُؤْتِهِ مِنْهَا وَمَا لَهُ فِي الْآخِرَةِ مِنْ نَصِيبٍ﴾ [الشورى: 20]، ثم قال رسول الله ﷺ: "يقول الله ﷿: ابنَ آدمَ، تفرَّغْ لعبادتي أَملأْ صدرَك غِنًى، وأَسُدَّ فقرَك، وإلَّا تفعلْ ملأتُ صدرَك شُغلًا، ولم أَسدَّ فقرَك" (3).
هذا حديث صحيح الإسناد، ولم يُخرجاه.

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) recited this verse: "Whoever desires the harvest of the Hereafter, We increase for him in his harvest; and whoever desires the harvest of this world, We give him thereof, and he will have no share in the Hereafter." [Surah al-Shura: 20] Then the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Allah, the Mighty and Majestic, says: O son of Adam! Devote yourself to My worship, and I will fill your chest with contentment (freedom from want) and block the path of your poverty. And if you do not do so, I will fill your chest with preoccupations and I will not remove your poverty."
This hadith is sahih (authentic) in its chain of narration, and the two Shaykhs (Bukhari and Muslim) did not record it.

(3) إسناده محتمل للتحسين من أجل زائدة بن نشيط، والد عمران، فقد روى عنه اثنان، وذكره ابن حبان في "الثقات"، وأبو خالد الوالبي روى عنه جمع وذكره ابن حبان في "الثقات"، وقال أبو حاتم الرازي: صالح الحديث. أبو أحمد الزبيري: هو محمد بن عبد الله بن الزبير الأسدي مولاهم. وأخرجه أحمد 14 / (8696) عن أبي أحمد محمد بن عبد الله الزبيري، بهذا الإسناد.
Grading: Because of "Za'idah bin Nashit" (the father of Imran), there is a possibility of "grading it hasan". (Two narrators narrated from him, and Ibn Hibban mentioned him in al-Thiqat.) Abu Khalid al-Walibi (narrators narrated from him, Ibn Hibban mentioned him in al-Thiqat, and Abu Hatim called him salih al-hadith [fair in hadith]).
Note / Clarification: Abu Ahmad al-Zubayri is Muhammad bin Abd Allah bin al-Zubayr al-Asadi. It was recorded by Ahmad (14/ 8696) from Abu Ahmad al-Zubayri, with this chain.
وأخرجه ابن ماجه (4107)، والترمذي (2466)، وابن حبان (393) من طريقين عن عمران بن زائدة، به.
Reference / Source: It was recorded by Ibn Majah (4107), al-Tirmidhi (2466) and Ibn Hibban (393) through two routes via Imran bin Za'idah.
ورواه أبو أسامة حماد بن أسامة - كما في "علل الدارقطني" (1596) - عن عمران بن زائدة موقوفًا على أبي هريرة.
Reference / Source: Abu Usamah Hammad bin Usamah narrated it (al-Daraqutni's 'Ilal 1596) from Imran bin Za'idah as "mawquf" on Abu Hurayrah.
وفي الباب عن معقل بن يسار، وسيأتي عند المصنّف برقم (8124)، وسنده ضعيف.
Corroborating chains and supporting reports: On this topic there is also the narration of Ma'qil bin Yasar, which will come later with the author (al-Hakim) at (8124), and its chain is "da'if".
