أخبرنا أبو عبد الله محمد بن عبد الله الصَّفّار، حدثنا أحمد بن مِهْران، حدثنا عُبيد الله بن موسى، أخبرنا إسرائيل، حدثنا سِمَاك بن حَرْب، عن النُّعمان بن بَشِير، عن عمر بن الخطّاب في قوله: ﴿احْشُرُوا الَّذِينَ ظَلَمُوا وَأَزْوَاجَهُمْ﴾ [الصافات: 22]، قال: أمثالَهم الذين هم مِثْلُهم (2).
هذا حديث صحيح على شرط مسلم، ولم يُخرجاه.

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Umar bin al-Khattab (may Allah be pleased with him) concerning the saying of Allah Almighty: "Gather those who did wrong and their companions" [Surah al-Saffat: 22], that he said: What is meant by it is their equals and those like them.
This hadith is sahih (authentic) on the condition of Imam Muslim, but the two Shaykhs (Bukhari and Muslim) did not record it.

Grading: Its chain is "hasan" because of Ahmad bin Mihran and Simak bin Harb.
وأخرجه بنحوه أحمد بن منيع في "مسنده" كما في "المطالب العالية" (3693)، والطبري في "تفسيره" 23/ 46 و 30/ 69، والثعلبي في "تفسيره" أيضًا 8/ 141 من طريق سفيان الثوري، وآدم بن أبي إياس في "تفسيره" 2/ 540 من طريق قيس بن الربيع، كلاهما عن سماك بن حرب، بهذا الإسناد.
Reference / Source: It was recorded by Ahmad bin Mani' in his "Musnad" (al-Matalib al-'Aliyah 3693), al-Tabari (23/ 46, 30/ 69) and al-Tha'labi (8/ 141) via Sufyan al-Thawri, and by Adam bin Abi Iyas in his "Tafsir" (2/ 540) via Qays bin al-Rabi'; both from Simak bin Harb, with this chain.
