حدثني علي بن حَمْشاذَ العَدْل، حدثنا محمد بن سليمان بن الحارث، حدثنا عبيد الله بن موسى وأبو نُعيم قالا: حدثنا مِسعَر، عن زُبَيد، عن مُرَّة بن شَرَاحيل، عن عبد الله في قول الله ﷿: ﴿اتَّقُوا اللَّهَ حَقَّ تُقَاتِهِ﴾ [آل عمران: 102]، قال: أن يُطاعَ فلا يُعصَى، ويُذكَرَ فلا يُنسَى (1).
هذا حديث صحيح على شرط الشيخين، ولم يُخرجاه.

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) concerning the saying of Allah, the Mighty and Majestic, "Fear Allah as He should be feared" [Surah Al Imran: 102], that he said: (Fearing Allah as He should be feared means) that He is obeyed and not disobeyed, and that He is remembered at all times and not forgotten.
This hadith is sahih (authentic) on the condition of the two Shaykhs (Bukhari and Muslim), and they did not record it.

(1) إسناده صحيح. أبو نعيم: هو الفضل بن دُكين، وزبيد: هو ابن الحارث الياميّ، وعبد الله: هو ابن مسعود.
Grading: Its chain is sahih.
Technical note / Defect ('illah): Abu Nu'aym is al-Fadl bin Dukayn, Zubayd is Ibn al-Harith al-Yami, and Abd Allah is Ibn Mas'ud.
وأخرجه النسائي (11847) من طريق شعبة، عن زبيد اليامي، بهذا الإسناد.
Reference / Source: Al-Nasa'i recorded it (11847) by way of Shu'bah, from Zubayd al-Yami, with this chain.
Grading: Its chain is sahih.
