حدثنا أبو العبَّاس محمد بن يعقوب، حدثنا إبراهيم بن مرزوق، حدثنا أبو داود ووَهْب بن جَرير قالا: حدثنا شُعبة. وأخبرنا عبد الرحمن بن الحسن القاضي بهَمَذان، حدثنا إبراهيم بن الحسين، حدثنا آدم بن أبي إياس، حدثنا شُعبة، عن الأعمش، عن مجاهد، عن ابن عبَّاس: أنَّ رسول الله ﷺ تلا هذه الآية ﴿يَاأَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا اتَّقُوا اللَّهَ حَقَّ تُقَاتِهِ وَلَا تَمُوتُنَّ إِلَّا وَأَنْتُمْ مُسْلِمُونَ﴾ [آل عمران: 102]، قال: "والذي نفسي بيده لو أنَّ قَطْرةً من الزَّقُّوم قُطِرَت في بحار الأرض، لفَسَدَت". وفي حديث وهب بن جَرير: "لأمَرَّتْ على أهل الدنيا مَعايشَهم، فكيف بمن تكونُ طعامَه؟! " (2).
هذا حديث صحيح على شرط الشيخين، ولم يُخرجاه.

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) recited this verse, "O you who believe, fear Allah as He should be feared, and do not die except as Muslims" [Surah Al Imran: 102], and said: "By the One in whose Hand is my soul! If a single drop of Zaqqum (the bitter tree of Hell) were dropped into the seas of the earth, they would be spoiled." And in the narration of Wahb bin Jarir the words are: "It would make bitter the livelihood of the people of this world; so what then of the one whose food it will be?!"
This hadith is sahih (authentic) on the condition of the two Shaykhs (Bukhari and Muslim), and they did not record it.

Hadith Takhrij «لا يصحُّ مرفوعًا إلى النبي ﷺ مع ثقة رواته في الجملة غير عبد الرحمن بن الحسن في الإسناد الثاني وهو متابع، وقد خولف شعبةُ في وصله كما سيأتي. أبو داود: هو سليمان بن داود الطيالسي.» [ترقيم الرساله 3196] [ترقيم الشركة 3176] [ترقيم العلميه 3158]
حدثني علي بن حَمْشاذَ العَدْل، حدثنا محمد بن سليمان بن الحارث، حدثنا عبيد الله بن موسى وأبو نُعيم قالا: حدثنا مِسعَر، عن زُبَيد، عن مُرَّة بن شَرَاحيل، عن عبد الله في قول الله ﷿: ﴿اتَّقُوا اللَّهَ حَقَّ تُقَاتِهِ﴾ [آل عمران: 102]، قال: أن يُطاعَ فلا يُعصَى، ويُذكَرَ فلا يُنسَى (1).
هذا حديث صحيح على شرط الشيخين، ولم يُخرجاه.

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) concerning the saying of Allah, the Mighty and Majestic, "Fear Allah as He should be feared" [Surah Al Imran: 102], that he said: (Fearing Allah as He should be feared means) that He is obeyed and not disobeyed, and that He is remembered at all times and not forgotten.
This hadith is sahih (authentic) on the condition of the two Shaykhs (Bukhari and Muslim), and they did not record it.
