Hakim bin Mu'awiyah bin Haydah narrates from his father that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "You will be brought on the Day of Resurrection with fidam (cloth coverings or stoppers) placed over your mouths, and the first part of a human being that will speak will be his thigh and his palm."
This hadith is well known through the narration of Bahz bin Hakim from his father. Al-Jurayri has also corroborated him and narrated it from Hakim bin Mu'awiyah, by which the hadith is established as sahih, but the two Shaykhs (Bukhari and Muslim) did not record it.

You will be presented before Allah with gags (fidam: seals or obstructions) over your mouths, and the first of the limbs of any of you to speak out will be his thigh." And the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) recited this verse: "And you were not concealing yourselves, lest your hearing, your eyes and your skins should testify against you." It is narrated from Sayyiduna al-Aswad bin Hilal that Sayyiduna Abu Bakr al-Siddiq (may Allah be pleased with him) asked (the Companions): What do you say about these sayings of Allah Almighty: "Indeed, those who said, 'Our Lord is Allah,' and then remained upright" [Surah Fussilat: 30] and "Those who believed and did not mix their faith with injustice" [Surah al-An'am: 82]? They replied: "Those who said, 'Our Lord is Allah,' and then remained upright" refers to the people who said, 'Our Lord is Allah,' and then did not turn towards any (sin); and "did not mix their faith with injustice" means that they did not mix their faith with any wrongdoing. At this Sayyiduna Abu Bakr al-Siddiq (may Allah be pleased with him) said: "You have not understood them in the sense that is intended. 'And then remained upright' means that they did not turn towards any god other than Allah, and 'did not mix their faith with injustice' means that they did not mix their faith with shirk (associating partners with Allah)."
This hadith is sahih (authentic) in its chain of narration, and the two Shaykhs (Bukhari and Muslim) did not record it.
