It is narrated from Sayyiduna Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) that Jibril (peace be upon him) came to the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) while he (peace and blessings be upon him) was playing with the children. He took hold of him (peace and blessings be upon him) and laid him down, then split open his chest over his heart and took out of it a clot of blood, and said: "This was the share of Satan in you." Then he washed it in a basin of gold with the water of Zamzam, then joined it together and put it back in its place. The boys went running to his mother (meaning his foster-mother, Sayyidah Halimah) and said: "Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) has been killed!" So she came hurrying towards him (peace and blessings be upon him), and he (peace and blessings be upon him) met her on his way back, and the colour of his (peace and blessings be upon him) face had drained. Sayyiduna Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) said: "We used to see the marks of the stitching on his (peace and blessings be upon him) blessed chest."
This hadith is sahih (authentic) on the condition of Imam Muslim, but the two Shaykhs (Bukhari and Muslim) did not record it. And it is also authentically established from Sayyiduna Umar bin al-Khattab and Sayyiduna Ali bin Abi Talib (may Allah be pleased with them both) that: "One hardship will never overcome two eases." And it has also been narrated from the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) with a mursal chain as follows:

It is narrated in mursal form from al-Hasan al-Basri (may Allah have mercy on him) concerning the words of Allah Almighty: "Indeed, with hardship comes ease" [Surah al-Sharh: 6], that he said: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) came out one day in a state of joy and delight, laughing, and he was saying: "One hardship will never overcome two eases: 'Indeed, with hardship comes ease. Indeed, with hardship comes ease.'" [Surah al-Sharh: 5-6]
