It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ubayy bin Ka'b (may Allah be pleased with him) concerning the saying of Allah, the Mighty and Majestic: "And the earth and the mountains are lifted and crushed with a single crushing" [Al-Haqqah: 14], that he said: "The two of them (the earth and the mountains) will be crushed to pieces and become dust, which will fall upon the faces of the disbelievers but not upon the faces of the believers. And this is the saying of Allah, the Mighty and Majestic: 'And some faces, that Day, will have dust upon them; darkness will cover them' [Abasa: 40, 41]."
This hadith is sahih (authentic) on the condition of the two Shaykhs (Bukhari and Muslim), but they did not record it.

Explanation & Benefits
Shaykh Adil Murshid et al.
Note / Clarification: From his words (wa-humilat al-ard …) up to here, the text has dropped out of manuscripts (Z), (S) and ('A); we have supplied it from manuscript (B) and the Mahmudiyyah manuscript (as in the Mayman edition), and this agrees with the narration of al-Fadl bin Abd al-Jabbar from Ali bin al-Hasan bin Shaqiq, which will come with the author (al-Hakim) at number (3943).

Grading: Its chain is "hasan" because of Muhammad bin Musa al-Bashani (Muhammad bin Musa bin Hatim), who is also called "al-Fashani" with an "f", and he is corroborated at number (3943) below. There is no harm in al-Husayn bin Waqid and al-Rabi' bin Anas, and they are strong. Abu al-Aliyah is "Rufay' bin Mihran".
Reference / Source: Al-Suyuti mentioned it in "al-Durr al-Manthur" (8/268) and also attributed it to al-Bayhaqi's "al-Ba'th wa al-Nushur".
