أخبرنا الحسن بن حَلِيم المروَزي، أخبرنا أبو الموجِّه، أخبرنا عَبْدان، أخبرنا عبد الله، أخبرنا عُيَيْنة بن عبد الرحمن الغَطَفَاني، عن أبيه، عن أبي بَكْرة قال: قال رسول الله ﷺ: "ما من ذَنبٍ أجدَرُ أن تُعجَّلَ لصاحبِه العقوبةُ في الدنيا، مع ما يُدَّخَرُ له في الآخرة، من البَغْي وقَطِيعةِ الرَّحِم" (1). صحيح الإسناد، ولم يُخرجاه.

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Bakrah (may Allah be pleased with him); he said that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "There is no sin more deserving that Allah Almighty should hasten the punishment of its doer in this world, along with what is stored up for him in the Hereafter, than transgression (oppression and wrongdoing) and severing the ties of kinship (breaking off relations with relatives)."

(1) إسناده صحيح. أبو الموجِّه: هو محمد بن عمرو الفَزَاري، وعبدان: هو عبد الله بن عثمان المروزي، وعبد الله: هو ابن المبارك.
Grading: Its chain is sahih.
Note / Clarification: Abu al-Muwajjih: he is Muhammad bin Amr al-Fazari, 'Abdan: he is Abdullah bin Uthman al-Marwazi, and Abdullah: he is Ibn al-Mubarak.
وهو في "الزهد" لابن المبارك برقم (724)، وقرن الحسين بن الحسن المروزي راوي الكتاب بابن المبارك إسماعيلَ ابنَ عُلَيَّة، وكذلك رواه عنه ابن ماجه في "سننه" (4211). وحديث ابن علية سيأتي عند المصنف برقم (7476).
Reference / Source: It is in Ibn al-Mubarak's "al-Zuhd" at number (724). The narrator of the book, al-Husayn bin al-Hasan al-Marwazi, paired Isma'il Ibn 'Ulayyah with Ibn al-Mubarak, and likewise Ibn Majah narrated it from him in his "Sunan" (4211). The hadith of Ibn 'Ulayyah will come later with the author (al-Hakim) at number (7476).
