Explanation & Benefits

Grading: This too is like the previous hadith; the author's (al-Hakim's) shaykh Abd al-Rahman bin al-Hasan has "weakness", but he is not alone in narrating it, and the narrators above him are thiqah. Reference / Source: Al-Bayhaqi recorded it in "al-Asma' wa al-Sifat" (832) from Abu Abd Allah al-Hakim with this same chain. Reference / Source: Al-Tabari recorded it in his Tafsir (28/153) from Amr bin Ali al-Fallas and Muhammad bin al-Muthanna, from Muhammad bin Ja'far, from Shu'bah, with the wording: "In every earth there is the like of Ibrahim" (and Muhammad bin al-Muthanna said in his hadith: "In every heaven there is (the like of) Ibrahim"), and creation like that which is on the earth.
