It is narrated from Sayyiduna Imran bin Husayn (may Allah be pleased with him) that he suffered from piles, so the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) ordered him to pray lying on his side. And concerning this is the saying of Allah, the Mighty and Majestic: "Those who remember Allah standing, sitting and (lying) on their sides" [Surah Al Imran: 191].
This hadith is sahih (authentic) on the condition of the two Shaykhs (Bukhari and Muslim), and they did not record it.

Explanation & Benefits
Shaykh Adil Murshid et al.
Note / Clarification: "مرس" is a nickname of Amr bin Ishaq, as in his biography in al-Khatib's "Tarikh Baghdad" (14/ 141); in Persian it means a physician or an eye doctor (kahhal). This word has dropped out of manuscripts (S) and ('A).
Grading: The hadith is sahih, and this chain is strong (qawi) because of Muhammad bin Umar bin al-Walid. Technical note / Defect ('illah): We think it most likely that the mention of "al-Fahham" in his name is a mistake, for he is not known by this attribution in the biographical works. Al-Fahham is another narrator of roughly the same generation, named Muhammad bin al-Walid bin Abi al-Walid, and he too is la ba'sa bihi (unobjectionable); both of them narrated from Yahya bin Adam. Reference / Source: Al-Bukhari recorded it (1117) from Abdan al-Marwazi, from Abd Allah bin al-Mubarak, with this chain; Important point: so al-Hakim's including it as an addition (istidrak) is an oversight on his part. (1200). Details of the narration: See what passed at no. (1200).
