[التعليق - من تلخيص الذهبي] ترقيم العلميه 3879 - على شرط البخاري ومسلم
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) concerning the saying of Allah Almighty: "The Day when some of the signs of your Lord come, no soul will benefit from its faith if it had not believed before" [Al-An'am: 158], that he said: It refers to the rising of the sun from the west. Then he recited these verses: "And the sun and the moon are joined together; man will say on that Day: Where is the escape?" [Al-Qiyamah: 9-10].
This hadith is sahih (authentic) on the condition of the two Shaykhs (Bukhari and Muslim), but they did not record it.
