Mustadrak al-Hakim — Hadith 3921

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) concerning the saying of Allah Almighty: "Rather, man desires to continue in sin ahead of him" [Al-Qiyamah: 5], that he said: (Its meaning is that the sinful person says:) I will repent soon (and in this delusion he keeps on sinning). And he "asks: When is the Day of Resurrection?" [Al-Qiyamah: 6]. Then, when the eyes are dazzled, the reality will become clear to him.
This hadith is sahih (authentic) on the condition of the two Shaykhs (Bukhari and Muslim), but they did not record it.
